Save for inspiration!
Not every day was rainbows and butterflies — carrying a big belly comes with real physical and emotional weight. But things like dressing up, filling my silly sketchbook pages, getting out of the house to walk or low key meeting friends for coffee help to lift my spirits.
It adds fun and intention to the days filled with waiting.
What gets you through the harder parts?
No productivity in the traditional sense. Just showing up, doing things slowly in contrast to juggling life, art and 9-5.
In a few weeks everything changes again. So I’m leaning into this moment, taking my time to paint and gently moving my body.
What would be your routine if you had to slow down?
In summer 2024, I had one long wave of inspiration. I primed canvases black and couldn’t stop painting. There’s something about starting from darkness that changes how you build a composition.

I didn’t buy any maternity clothes for summer. Instead, my rational mind made me go through what I already have. I was pleased to discover that many oversized pieces did a great job on my pregnant silhouette.
Sometimes the creative solution isn’t buying something new. It’s looking at what you already have with fresh eyes.
Which look is your favourite?
I don’t have the wall big enough to photograph them all together. So, hoping to find a nice space to exhibit all four of them.
I also received the proofs of prints. I want to release the limited edition prints of four predecessors of the “Four Seasons” series.
As for the “Four Seasons”, I thought the best would be to print them on bookmarks due to their elongated format (swipe to see the preliminary results).
