A few weeks back I attended a glassblowing session at and it turned out to be one of the most fun workshops I’ve done ✨😍
📍Molten 1090
Unit C1, 2 Leswin Pl, near Dalston station, London N16 7NJ
🏺The whole session is guided, so even as complete beginners we were able to shape and blow glass ourselves. It felt really hands-on, and so satisfying to see the glass take form in front of you.
🪴Over the session we each made two pieces: a paperweight and a small vessel.
🏺Afterwards, they’re placed in the kiln for controlled cooling, finished by the team, and then posted to you a few weeks later (I got mine in 3 weeks)
🪴 Groups are kept small so there’s a lot of one-to-one guidance. If you’re after a creative experience in London that feels a bit different, you have to check this out 😍

🏠 We stayed in Windermere as our base which was the perfect central location for hitting multiple spots and with good bus connection.
🌊 Rydal Falls was our first stop, an easy 20-minute walk from the bus stop. You also pass Rydal water on the way which makes for a very scenic walk 💌
💚 Grasmere village is tiny and we got to the gingerbread shop just as they were closing! Thankfully we managed to get pack of 5 (for £1 each) and they were so good 😍
💙Aira Force was the most dramatic of the waterfalls we did and definitely worth the walk 😍
⛴️ The Windermere cruise was surprisingly worth it - gives you a beautiful perspective of the area and connects you to Ambleside easily.
🗻 Orrest Head hike was about one hour up from Windermere station. The hike itself wasn’t too challenging but the views were insane.
