What I love about Kammerspiele is how open and inclusive it feels. This Pinocchio isn’t just for kids it’s a play that gently brings children and adults together. And yes, they always have supertitles, so it’s very expat-friendly. From 6 February, Pinocchio will also have supertitles perfect if German isn’t your first language 🫶🏽✨🌞
What really surprised me was the modern interpretation.
Pinocchio’s father isn’t shown as only the “good, loving dad” we remember. He’s also someone cutting down trees to fulfill his own dream loving, yes, but also human, flawed, and a bit selfish. That contrast made the story feel so real and so today 👴🏻🕰️🪵
Visually? Just stunning 🤯
The choreography, costumes, and stage design were incredible one of those shows where you don’t look away for a second 🖍️🎶🧑🎤
I walked out thinking about family, freedom, responsibility, and my relationship with myself. And that’s when you know a play did its job. If you’re in Munich and want to see a beautiful, international, thought-provoking play, I can only recommend this one. Go with your kids, your partner, or simply your inner child 👧👦🏿

I really loved it. Crispy outside, creamy inside (always with cinnamon for me 🤍). We were lucky it was super fresh (or they always serve fresh) 🫶🏽
The place itself is beautiful: Portuguese tiles, cozy design, and super friendly people. The only thing? I wish it was cheaper… but I guess that’s Munich 😅 Still, this place deserves the hype and I’d definitely go again.
