Ingredients
250 g Swiss cheese, grated
250 g Gruyere cheese, grated
250 g Emmentaler cheese, grated
2 tbsp cornstarch
1c dry white wine
1 tbsp kirsch, brandy, cognac or dry vermouth
1tsp dijon or mustard powder
1 tsp lemon juice
1 clove of garlic, peeled and crushed 
Freshly ground pepper and nutmeg to taste
Dippers- French or pumpernickel bread, granny smith apples, blanched broccoli, carrots, asparagus, cauliflower, potato, cherry tomatoes, salami, sausage…or anything your heart desires!
Directions
Begin by rubbing the fondue pot with the garlic clove, then set aside for later.
Toss the grated cheese in the cornstarch so that the cornstarch is evenly distributed.
Over medium heat, add wine, lemon juice, dijon and garlic to a pot and bring to a simmer. Add the cheese gradually, whisking and adding more once the previous portion is melted. Once all of the cheese has been added and the fondue is smooth, add kirsch (or alternate), nutmeg and pepper.
Transfer to a fondue pot, serve with dippers and enjoy!
