The Panorama Route is a scenic, waterfall-and-canyon drive in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Spanning roughly 26 kilometers, the drive primarily follows the R532 from Sabie to Graskop. It is the perfect pre- or post-safari add-on for those visiting nearby Kruger National Park.

We really enjoyed our full day tour
along the Panorama Route, which we booked via our lodge, we were treated to one beautiful vista to another, capped off with a beautiful sunset as we returned back to our Lodge in the Blue Canyon.
Standing at an impressive 94 metres (308 ft) high, named for the Lisbon Creek and the Farm Lisbon, on which the falls are located.
The Panorama Route follows the Great Escarpment as it descends into the Kruger Lowveld, making it the perfect pre or post safari addition.
Berlin Falls is an 80-meter-high waterfall located on the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Named by European gold prospectors in the 19th century, it is easily accessible via a short walk from the parking area and offers spectacular views of the water plunging into a deep jade-green pool.

• Lisbon Falls: The highest waterfall in Mpumalanga.
• God’s Window: Breath-taking panoramic views.
• Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon.

Carved into the Great Escarpment of Mpumalanga, South Africa, the Blyde River Canyon is the third-largest canyon on Earth and the largest "green canyon" due to its lush, subtropical vegetation. Stretching 26 kilometers with depths up to 800 meters, it is an iconic stop along the famous Panorama Route.
The day we visited the visibility was not great, but it was still breathtaking to see, unfortunately my camera struggled to record the true beauty.
We definitely recommend adding a Panoramic Route day trip if you are visiting Kruger, South Africa 🇿🇦.
Chewing the cud comes from ruminant animals such as cows, sheep, goats and of course giraffes.
Ever wondered how this process works 🤔
• Initial Swallow: A giraffe rapidly eats leaves and twigs, swallowing them quickly without chewing thoroughly.
• First Stomach: This food goes into the first stomach chamber, where it is broken down into small, semi-digested lumps.
• Regurgitation: While resting, the giraffe brings these lumps back up into its mouth. This bidirectional movement is highly visible in their long throats.
• Re-chewing: The giraffe chews the cud for an extended period, often hours at a time, to crush tough plant fibers and mix it with saliva.
• Final Digestion: The re-chewed cud is swallowed again to pass through the remaining stomach chambers for full digestion.

When we decided to travel to Botswana in the Wet (green) Season we did not expect it to be this wet. We were told that you will receive a very heavy downpour for a couple of hours during the afternoon and then the sun would come out.
Maybe its climate change but for our 9 day stay in the Okavango Delta region in January this year, it rained every day all day long and the puddles just got bigger and bigger.
Yes we got wet.... but did we have fun.... Absolutely a big YES. We had some amazing wildlife sightings and the game drives were certainly exhilarating. We had an amazing driver who knew the terrain and kept us safe.
It was great to see how all the drivers helped each other out so no one was left stranded.
