Eigentlich war Stefan als Coach auf einem Porsche 911 RSR vor Ort. Doch dann kam alles ganz anders: Völlig unerwartet ergab sich die Chance, das Rennen bei den Endurance Racing Legends zu bestreiten. Das Einsatzgerät? Kein Geringerer als der legendäre 2001 Audi R8 LMP1 (Chassis-Nummer 501) – genau das Auto, das 2002 mit Seiji Ara, Yannick Dalmas und Hiroki Katoh in Le Mans auf Platz 7 fuhr!
Ohne vorheriges Training und ohne Vorbereitungszeit ging es direkt ins kalte Wasser – und zwar vom letzten Startplatz (P20) aus!
Was folgte, war eine starke Aufholjagd auf der Ardennen-Achterbahn. Kurve um Kurve, Auto um Auto... am Ende stand tatsächlich PLATZ 3 auf dem Podium! 🏆🥉
Ein absolut irres Gefühl! Wer weiß, was mit ein paar Trainingsrunden im Vorfeld noch drin gewesen wäre... Aber diese Möglichkeit im LMP1-Monster wird Stefan so schnell nicht vergessen.

🏁 FROM COACHING STRAIGHT INTO THE COCKPIT OF A LEGEND! 🏎️💨 Sometimes, motorsport simply writes the best stories. 📖✨ Actually, Stefan was on site as a coach for a Porsche 911 RSR. But then, everything changed completely: completely unexpectedly, the chance arose to compete in the Endurance Racing Legends race. The machine? None other than the legendary 2001 Audi R8 LMP1 (Chassis Number 501) – the exact car that finished 7th at Le Mans in 2002 with Seiji Ara, Yannick Dalmas, and Hiroki Katoh! Without any prior practice or preparation time, he jumped straight into the deep end – starting from the very back of the grid (P20)! What followed was a strong charge through the field on the Spa-Francorchamps roller coaster. Corner by corner, car by car... in the end, he actually secured 3rd PLACE on the podium! 🏆🥉 An absolutely crazy feeling! Who knows what would have been possible with a few practice laps beforehand... But Stefan won’t forget this opportunity in the LMP1 monster anytime soon. A huge thank you to the entire team for their trust and this opportunity!

Als Team Capri RS 2600 Teil der Tour Auto sein, muss man einfach sagen: Diese Veranstaltung ist einfach jedes Mal etwas ganz Besonderes.
Die Route führte uns quer durch Frankreich:
📍Paris
🏁 Ziel: Biarritz
Bis zur letzten Etappe lief alles richtig stark. Der Capri hat durchgehalten, die Stimmung war top und wir hatten wirklich alles dabei: stundenlangen Starkregen, graue Himmel, rutschige Straßen — aber eben auch perfektes Wetter, Sonne pur und diese unglaublichen Momente entlang der Strecke, die man nicht vergisst.
Leider kam dann nach dem Rennen in Nogaro der Rückschlag.
Ein Defekt, der vor Ort nicht mehr reparabel war, hat unsere Tour abrupt beendet. Ausgerechnet vor den letzten 150km. Die Enttäuschung war natürlich riesig, weil das Ziel in Biarritz schon so nah war.
Aber genau das gehört eben auch dazu. Motorsport ist manchmal brutal ehrlich.
Trotzdem überwiegt am Ende ganz klar das Positive:
eine starke Woche, viele Kilometer, tolle Menschen, unzählige Eindrücke und ein Capri, der bis dahin wirklich einen mega Job gemacht hat. 💪

Dauerregen, stehendes Wasser und entsprechend anspruchsvolle Bedingungen auf der Strecke. Statt auf Bestzeiten zu gehen, ging es heute vor allem darum, das Auto sauber ins Ziel zu bringen.
Zusätzliche Herausforderung: Einer der Scheibenwischer war der Meinung, heute nur Teilzeit zu arbeiten. Die Sicht entsprechend eingeschränkt – und die Etappe deutlich unangenehmer als geplant.
Kein glamouröser Auftakt, aber Teil des Spiels. Morgen geht’s weiter.

Heavy rain, standing water, and accordingly challenging conditions on the stage. Instead of chasing best times, today was mainly about getting the car to the finish cleanly.
Additional challenge: one of the windshield wipers apparently decided to work part-time today. Visibility was limited accordingly – and the stage a lot more unpleasant than planned.
Not a glamorous start, but part of the game. On to tomorrow.

Letzte hatten wir etwas Besonderes auf der Bühne: einen Wiesmann MF4. Ein echter Handbuilt-Sportwagen mit V8-Power und Retro-Design – selten, laut und definitiv nichts für den Alltag.
Technisch basiert vieles auf BMW, aber beim Packaging merkt man schnell: Kleinserie bleibt Kleinserie.
Bestes Beispiel: die Scheibenwaschpumpe
➡️ Defekt – eigentlich ein „kleines“ Problem ➡️ Realität: komplette Front musste runter
Warum? Der Waschwasserbehälter sitzt tief verbaut im Vorderwagen, ohne direkten Zugang. Durch die kompakte Bauweise und die enge Integration von Komponenten kommt man nur ran, wenn man vorne erstmal alles zerlegt.
Das bedeutet: 🔧 hoher Zeitaufwand 🔧 viel Demontage für ein kleines Bauteil 🔧 typische Herausforderung bei Exoten
Fazit: Ein Wiesmann ist technisch spannend und fährt sich brutal gut – aber in der Werkstatt zeigt er dir schnell, dass er kein Serienauto ist.
