Iβve been asked a lot about how play works in Upper Primary so I thought I would share some starter tips! I am definitely not an expert but itβs been a successful year and if this helps anyone, then that would be great! It does take time to implement successfully and you might not even notice yourself how much the kids are gaining from play. I had another teacher visit at the end of the year to see our play in upper stages in action and she remarked how independent the children were at figuring out the task at hand and working through it without the aid of a teacher. This was lovely for an outsider to comment and shows they are constantly developing skills that then become second nature!
