We approached Badr not as a site to redesign, but as a living landscape layered with memory, spirituality, history, ecology, and human stories. Every line we drew was an attempt to reconnect fragmented narratives and restore the relationship between the city, its people, and its identity.

The submission became more than a set of boards or a masterplan. It became a book carrying months of passion, care, and collective dedication from an incredible team that truly believed architecture can create hope and meaning.
Receiving the 1st Prize was not only an achievement, but a reminder that when work is created with sincerity, soul, and genuine love for people and place, it can be deeply felt.

🏆 Third Place – Arab Architects Awards 2025
Category: Hotels & Entertainment
Capritage Park has always been more than a park.
It is a layered landscape where memory, health, and social life once intersected.
Our vision was not to redesign the park, but to reawaken its role within the city of Helwan — restoring its identity as a therapeutic, cultural, and public destination.
The project builds on the park’s historic fabric, preserving its mature trees and natural paths while introducing a clear spatial structure that reconnects forgotten zones.
New interventions are light, respectful, and purposeful allowing landscape to lead, and architecture to support.
By reintroducing walking loops, social nodes, wellness-oriented activities, and adaptive reuse of existing structures, Capritage Park becomes once again a space for daily life, healing, and community interaction.
In a city where public green spaces are rare and fragmented, the project acts as a catalyst for urban renewal reconnecting people to nature, memory, and one another.
This is not a park designed to impress, but a landscape designed to endure.
A quiet regeneration that respects history, restores relevance, and opens new possibilities for the future.

🏆 Joint Second Place – Arab Architects Awards 2025
Category: Rehabilitation Projects
By Mouaz Abouzaid – Verform
The Maghagha Post Office has long been more than a service building — it is a piece of the city’s collective memory.
Our vision was to revive the soul of the building, not just restore its walls.
By preserving the historic brick core and introducing a transparent glass link, the project creates a dialogue between heritage and modernity.
The design reimagines the post office as a vibrant civic hub, with an open atrium, contemporary limestone extensions, and a future vision for community gardens.
In a rural city that lacks public spaces, this project becomes a step toward urban renewal, offering a place for gathering, interaction, and belonging.
The aged bricks tell a story that cannot be replaced — and the new architecture frames that story with respect and hope.
A revival that honors the past, embraces the present, and looks confidently toward the future.

Qanawat Building – First Place
Architecture is not merely façades or silent masses;
it is about how these forms interact with interior spaces,
and how the relationship between the exterior and the internal human experience is crafted.
People do not live on the façade…
they live inside the space.
And every space no matter how small carries a direct emotional impact on its users:
comfort, inspiration, belonging… or the complete opposite.
This does not mean that form or façades have no value; but in this project, the true meaning of Form Follows Function became clear.
The massing emerged logically from the function of the interior spaces
and from the movement and experience the building is meant to deliver.
And although the building is, at its core, a Box,
the first impression for everyone was always:
“Something is happening inside this building.”
That reaction did not come from nowhere. The façades reflect the internal activity as an integral part of the design language:
a continuous dialogue between the trible story terraces, the double story courtyard,
and the transparent corridors connecting them.
This vertical and horizontal interplay created a visible internal movement that expresses itself on the exterior envelope, becoming part of the building’s identity. The use of transparency further reinforces that what happens inside is not merely spatial distribution, but a full architectural experience lived by both the users inside… and those observing from outside.
This is what we aimed to present and communicate through the Qanawat Building,
the project that won First Place in its category at the Arab Architects Awards 2025,
as it offered a deeper understanding of architecture one that goes far beyond façade and form.
