I stopped comparing myself… and that’s when everything started to change.
For a long time, I compared myself to “internet bodies,” to journeys that weren’t mine, to results I didn’t know the full story behind. And honestly, it led me nowhere good, only frustration, unnecessary pressure, and feeling like I was never enough.
One day I understood something simple but powerful:
the only person I should compare myself to is who I was yesterday.
The version of me from years ago. The version that was just trying to survive, while today I’m trying to grow.
Social media is full of “perfect” bodies, ideal routines, and highlight-reel transformations. Comparing yourself to that won’t speed up your progress, it will only make you hate the process. And when you hate the process, you quit.
Don’t get me wrong, admiring others is beautiful. Getting inspired is healthy. Having role models can be motivating.
But admiration is not the same as comparison, and constant comparison is not healthy.
The only reason I started seeing real changes, not just physically, but mentally, was when I stopped measuring myself against people on the internet and started respecting my own journey, my pace, and my story.
You don’t need to be like anyone else.
You just need to be a little better to yourself than you were yesterday.
And that is more than enough ✨
