Ps. I typically never photograph “rehearsal”. In fact, Stephanie and Tyler told me to come solely as a friend and not even bring my camera (ha! Yea right). So I got to enjoy this as a friend who just happened to have a camera! - this explains why I dressed up;)

Stephanie and Tyler believed in my business at the very beginning. Four years ago I posted an Instagram story asking for a couple to “model” for my first ever educational opportunity. I asked for a couple with no modeling experience, who I didn’t know personally. The second Stephanie emailed me, I knew we were the perfect fit! We became fast friends, and have since been in eachothers corners through so many highs and lows. Since that video workshop, these two have been able to model for so many incredibly talented photographers! They have worked with so many creatives in this industry, I genuinely never expected they’d ask ME to be the one to travel to Mexico to photograph their own wedding day. They decided to hire me and (who shot my original educational video!) to bring back the “OG” trio, and I’m not even exaggerating when I say I cried the happiest and most grateful tears when I got that inquiry.
Little did I really know all this experience had in store for us! This “work” trip was everything my soul craved. From community, to celebration, Chris and I were there as friends, and I’ve never felt so a part of a couples day. Three days of loving on these two, dancing, crying, and maybe a shot or two of tequila…. This will forever be a highlight of my career. Mr and Mrs R, I can’t ever thank you enough for all you’ve done for me + my business. Getting to tell your story is an honor I will never ever take lightly. I love you with all my heart!

When inquired with me to capture her sweet family, I was NERVOUS! I don’t know why but no matter how long I do this, I’ll never not 💩 my pants a little bit when another photographer asks me to photograph them.
This session was a dream! We rescheduled so many times that Angelique had to change her entire family’s outfits from a spring look to fall! But on the day of their session, we had the most beautiful weather, perfect amount of wind, and the first glimpse into those Oregon fall colors. It was one of my favorite family sessions to date! I’ve never shot a family with kids who are older, so I was a little in my own head about posing as I headed to their session. Thankfully for me, this family is so close, so fun and playful, so connected…. I did nothing. Truly. I just snapped photos of their beautiful moments playing out right in front of me.
I can never thank you enough for your support, encouragement, patience, and generosity (she sent me a coffee the morning of their session and it made my day!!! Just the most thoughtful).
