Fabric dye, or “piece dye,” is when each fabric is dyed individually, perfectly matching all colors. This method is more expensive and time-consuming in production.
Garment dyeing is when the garment is fully sewn up and then dyed. This method is less expensive, but it risks each fabric taking the dye differently.
Which did we choose for our custom color jumpsuits?
We tested both methods and because our jumpsuits are made of different fabric compositions, from cotton to cupro to tencel, fabric dyeing was ultimately the best choice.
More cost, more time, but 100% worth the luxurious look of this collection.

While designing our jumpsuit, I thought about how you could enjoy the special yet subtle attention to detail.
Each tiny detail added weeks or even months to our production timeline. I sourced the perfect pearl-style buttons, but it HAD to have gold hardware—the perfect subtle cotton lace trim and, of course, our custom cable car girl emblem.

Since I’ll be traveling to Los Angeles for the shoot, I shipped out all the items ahead of time so the production team can organize, steam, and get everything ready for the big day!
