Starting immediately, I will be enforcing a zero-tolerance policy on matting for all recurrent clients. It is your responsibility as a pet parent to regularly brush your furry companion at home between grooming appointments.
Excessive dematting has taken a serious toll on my body. Over the past three months, I’ve had to visit the emergency room three times due to grooming-related injuries. I love what I do and want to continue grooming for many years to come, but in order to protect my health, some changes are necessary.
New Policy:
New Clients: You will receive a one-time pass, as I understand it may be your pup's first professional groom or coat fix.
Recurrent Clients:
If your dog arrives with 30% or more matting, a $2 per minute dematting fee will apply.
If 50% or more of the coat is matted, your dog will receive a shave down and a $50 shave-down fee will be added.
If matting continues to be a recurring issue, I may have to inform you that I will no longer be able to groom your dog, and you will need to find another groomer.
It truly pains me to write this, but I cannot continue to fix issues that should be managed at home. Brushing is part of your commitment as a pet parent. These changes are being made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both your pets and myself.
