でも同時に、
「毎日立てる」ことと「自分の価値を守ること」は
同じじゃないとも思っています。
毎日「踊る」こと自体は、きっといくらでも叶えられる。
だけどその中で、
自分のやりたくないことを受け入れ続けたり、
心を削るような環境に身を置いたり、
それでも続けることに意味があるのかは、ずっと考えてきました。
作品としてショーを届けたいと思うほど、
環境や扱われ方は確実に影響するし、
ただ“こなすだけ”の毎日になった瞬間、
少しずつ表現は鈍っていく。
本当は、
誰かの代わりがきく存在じゃなくて、
「この人だから観たい」と思ってもらえるショーをしたい。
同じような形の中で消費されていくより、
ちゃんと自分の色や世界観が伝わる表現を選びたい。
だからこそ、
自分のショーの価値を自分で下げるような選択は、
しないでいたいと思っています。
一度、疲弊してショーが楽しくなくなった時期もあったけど、
そこから戻ってきて気づいたのは、
自分を守ることが、結果的に
いいショーに繋がるということでした。
ここから先は、
ただ続けるんじゃなくて、
もう一段階、自分の表現を引き上げる選択をしていきたい。
まだ形にしている途中だけど、
ちゃんと意味のある形で届けられるように。
この先の選択も含めて、
ちゃんと自分の表現として積み重ねていきます。

私はその“鮮度”をどう扱うかが一番大事だと思ってる。
同じものを繰り返すことより、
その時の感情や温度で変わっていく表現を大切にしたい。
感情で踊るタイプだからこそ、
ハマる時とそうじゃない時の差も大きいし、
深く入り込みすぎて、自分がどこにいるのか分からなくなることもある。
それでも、ただ形をなぞるより
ちゃんとその瞬間に生まれているものを扱いたい。
これまでの中で、再現性や安定が求められる場面も多くあったけど、
それ自体が悪いとは思っていなくて、必要な形の一つだとも思ってる。
その上で、私にとってショーは
再現するものではなく、向き合い続けて変わり続けるもの。
軽く扱いたくないし、
自分自身が“こなすためのもの”にしてしまうのも違う。
ただ消費されていくような在り方や、
代わりのきく存在として扱われることには、少し違和感がある。
もちろん、こだわりが強い分
扱いづらいと思われることもあると思う。
でもだからこそ、無理に形に合わせ続けることよりも、
自分の感覚を守る選択も大切にしたい。
ショーの仕事だけにこだわりすぎて、
大切なものまで削ってしまう形にはしたくないと思ったし、
それが今の選択をしている理由の一つでもあります。
少し距離を取りながらでも、
自分の感覚に嘘のない形を選びたい。
いつか、自分なりの形で
この世界の見え方を少し変えられたらと思ってます。

「大丈夫？」
そんな声をいただくことがあるので
少しだけ書いておきます。
私はこれからも
ステージには立ち続けるつもりです。
ただ、長い目で見たときに
今は少し遠回りの時間が必要だと考えています。
本当は毎日でも踊っていたい。
でも、毎日踊ることを選び続ける限り
目の前のショーをこなすことに
追われ続けてしまうのも事実です。
いつか自分のお店を持ちたい。
そしてショーという文化を
もっと広げていきたい。
ただ、そのための道筋は
まだはっきり見えているわけではありません。
だからこそ今は
現場でしかわからないことを知り
学ぶ時間も必要だと思っています。
SNSももちろん頑張ります。
でもSNSだけでは届かない層もあるし
どんなに踊りが上手くなったとしても
それだけで商売として成立するかは
また別の話だとも感じています。
だからこそ
この状況を少しでも変えていきたい。
もちろん簡単なことではないし
今の自分にその力があるとも思っていません。
正直、痛みもあります。
毎日好きなことをしていた日々から
少し離れるわけですから。
それでも今は
ぐっと我慢して頑張る時期。

自分なりに考えて出した答えです。
