〜茅の輪〜
当宮御祭神の一柱、素盞嗚命-スサノオノミコト-が優しく親切な蘇民将来に「茅の輪を身につければ疫病から逃れられる」と教えました。やがて疫病が流行った時、茅の輪をつけていた蘇民将来の一族だけが無事だったと伝えられています
この故事が、全国で行われる「茅の輪くぐり」の起源とされています
〜紅葉八幡宮と朝顔〜
紅葉八幡宮の宮司家・平山家は、戦前まで「チョウキ」と呼ばれる家伝薬を販売していました。その材料に朝顔が使われたそうです
現宮司がこの想いを受け継ぎ、皆さんに朝顔をお渡しすることに。鉢はお正月の大門松の竹から手作りしました

当日、人形代ｰひとかたしろ-のお祓いを申し込まれた方は、特別に御神前にお進みいただき、神職がお祓いいたします

これぞ地元のお祭り！という雰囲気を楽しんでいだけると幸いです

かき氷、金魚すくい、懐かしゲーム、焼き鳥、たこ焼き、スパイスカレー、アイスクリーム、クレープ、コーヒーなどなど盛りだくさん(もちろんお酒もあります)

境内末社 宇賀稲荷神社の狛狐に前掛けをご奉納いただきました
赤地に花と紅葉柄のとても愛らしい前掛けです
なんだか笑顔が誇らしげに見えるような🍁

福岡市が境内の公園を整備してくださいました！
まずは滑り台前の砂場に砂を補充
滑って着地するときの段差が無くなり、安全に滑れるようになりました
そして側溝の新設
山上から流れてくる雨水が溜まるのを解消しました
快適な公園作りをしてくださり、誠にありがとうございました
［豆知識］
亀さん滑り台の横にある宇宙船のような遊具。これが設置されたのは1970年ごろとされています
アポロ11号が月面着陸したのが1969年。このことに影響された遊具ではないかと言われています

紅葉八幡宮成年会の皆様にご協力いただき、今年も朝顔の鉢作りをいたしました
正月の大門松を再利用して作ります
極太の竹は乾燥するととても硬く、最高気温30℃という暑さも相まって、切るのも一苦労
ペンキを塗って、縁起の良い鉢が完成しました！
これから朝顔を植えて育てていきます

福岡歯科大学、福岡大学、九州大学、中村学園大学の学生さん方へ講話をさせていだだきました
本年は50名程お集まりになられました
神社・地域の歴史、神職という仕事ついて、オフレコの話まで1時間程お話しさせていただきました
もちろん、西新の魅力発信もしっかりといたしました！
講話の後には、神主直伝の作法で皆様ご参拝くださいました

紫陽花が今年も色付いてきました
正面参道の途中と、鳥居横の駐車場に数株
昔、もっと増やそうとしたのですが、思うように根付かなかったそうです
それを乗り越えてしっかり根を張って、毎年こうして咲いてくれる。数株ですが、なかなか逞しい紫陽花達です🍁

長い長い夏がやってきました
少しでも涼しく！ということで、今年も水みくじを始めています

内容を確かめたら、境内の結び所に結んでいただくか、持って帰り保管していただいても結構です
地下水ですので、手水の水も冷たくて気持ちいいですよ🍁
