One student beautifully reminded the class that manners can be helping an older person cross the street or loading something into their car.

It was wonderful catching up with old friends and hearing from author Caroline Palmer about her debut novel The Workhorse — a story that brought me right back to my NYC working days. 📚✨

What started with train delays and rerouted plans turned into the loveliest day in NYC… a little inspiration at Bergdorf’s and Tiffany’s before heading downtown to teach Manners Marvels to Katie Lee’s adorable 4–6 year olds.
Tiny handshakes. Tiny forks. Big confidence. ✨
These little ones practiced introductions, dining skills, eye contact, and conversation — all while having FUN doing it.

What a WEEK in Modernly Mannered history — truly our busiest and most joy-filled yet! My heart is overflowing. 💙
We kicked things off at Morris County Country Club, teaching both our 4–6 year olds and 7–10 year olds — and we’ll be heading back again this week for more table manners, conversation skills, and confidence-building fun!
Next stop was Glen Ridge Country Club, where we spent two incredible hours with 18 children ages 7–10, and we’ll be returning again this week to work with their 11–14 year olds. Such a fabulous group!
In between, a wonderful mom in Mendham, NJ hosted the sweetest private luncheon for 8 children in K–2nd grade — rolls were broken properly, napkins were used beautifully, and the kindness was off the charts.
And we wrapped it all up with Sunday FUNDAY at Ridgewood Country Club, where we worked with three age groups — 4–6, 7–10, and 11–13. We’ve been coming once a month for the last three months, and the transformation in table manners has been truly amazing to watch. 🍽️✨
All in all… last week was the BEST week in Modernly Mannered history, and I could not have done it without my assistant Chase and our brand-new intern Mila. Their support, enthusiasm, and professionalism mean the world to me.
My gratitude for every family, every club, every host, and every child who welcomed us in last week is absolutely boundless. 💙✨
