The number painted on the car was the 24 and the drivers were Mike Parkes and Ludovico Scarfiotti, the result was a second position, behind the Ferrari 330 P3/4 (number 23) driven by Lorenzo Bandini and Chris Amon, while the 3rd place was signed by the 412 P (number 26) of Luigi Chinetti’s N.A.R.T. team, driven by Pedro Rodriguez and Jean Guichet.
In the same year, on June 10th, the sportprototype finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, once again in the hand of the couple Parkes-Scarfiotti.
The picture of that glorious 24 Hours of Daytona finish, shows that number 24 is a coupè, so it was modified as a spider by Ferrari Scuderia to suit aero upgrades and race requirements for a later competition.
Designed by Mauro Forghieri, sporting a 4.0L longitudinally-mounted rear V12 engine, with 3 valves per cylinder and bodied by Drogo, the 330 P4 is one of the most stunning Ferrari cars ever built by Ferrari.

The name “Dino” was given in order to paid homage to Enzo Ferrari’s perished son.. it was built in 3 diffent variations:
“L” from 1969 to 1971
“M” from 1971 to 1972
“E” in 1972
Based on “E” series, it was built the Dino GTS, the spider one, showed in this pictures.

After the 250 series Ferrari decided to grow the displacement from 3.000 cm³ to 3.300 cm³. It means that the capacity of a singular cylinder became 275 cm³, so the classic V12 Ferrari engine saw a performance improvement, even thanks to some other modifies, also the gearbox was reviewed, in fact it was added the 5th gear.
This car was produced between the 1964 and 1966 but in 1965 it changes the “nose” style that became longer, in order to aid aerodynamic stability at high speed.
