私は藁床の表替え
土地柄ですがこの辺りは昔は藁床でないとダメと言うお客様ばかり
しかし畳屋さんになりたての頃、建材畳が発売
今は普通ですが真っ平
どうにかして建材床のように真っ平な藁床を作れないか…
必死にそれだけを目指してやってきました
今ではお客様から望月さんに任せておけば大丈夫とまで言われるように
ありがたいことです🙇🏻
原油高、断熱材の不足、色々な影響はありますが
藁床、畳表、ヘリは純国産
そして畳屋さんには表替えと言う武器があります
先人達が遺してくれた床材をどう使うか
今こそ考えるべきではないかと
いぐさ農家さん、床屋さん、ヘリ、機械メーカー様、そしてそれを繋げてくれる問屋さんには改めて感謝いたします
そして重い畳を二十代と変わらす運べて大きな怪我もない自分の足腰

やはり国産市松表の裏返し(畳表を一度剥がして裏面を使用します)は綺麗😍
それにしても☔️が多いですね
季節の変わり目なのでしょうがないことですが…
私も肩こり頭痛が酷くて作業着の調整やサポーター、ビタミン剤などでなんとか抑えております

15年ほど前に私が納めた畳
南向きのお部屋
日焼け、乾燥が激しく畳床材が15mmということで床材本体を少しでも長く持たせる為和紙表へ
当時はヘリ付け機械が15mmに対応しておらずタッカー留💦
今回はちゃんと糸で縫着
とても明るくなった♪
とおっしゃっていただきました
また折れ引き戸が下がってヘリを擦っていた部分もすぐ修正対応してくださった金沢屋由比店さま
にも感謝です

私個人的な考えですが15mmのヘリ付きを上手に納めるポイントはやはり四隅の角を厚畳よりあえて少し弱くすることかな…と

製作はかなり！大変でしたが
