2026年6月10日午後、東京都港区にある駐日ハンガリー大使館において、ピアニスト金子三勇士の「日本デビュー15周年記念 記者懇親会」を行いました。懇親会の冒頭では、駐日ハンガリー大使のオルネル＝バーリン・アンナ閣下より、金子とハンガリーとの深い関わりや、両国の架け橋としての貢献について称賛と感謝のご挨拶をいただきました。続いて、株式会社ジャパン・アーツ代表取締役社長の二瓶純一が、これまでの歩みを支えてくださった皆様への感謝を述べ、挨拶を行いました。

父が日本人、母はハンガリー人。6歳の時に1人でハンガリーに渡りバルトーク音楽小学校や国立リスト音楽院大学で学んだ金子は、両国の文化的な架け橋でもある。この席は金子にとって新たな決意表明の場となった。
デビュー以来金子は国内外で約1500回のコンサート活動を行ってきたが、本格的なステージの他、クラシック音楽にあまり触れたことのない人にも親しめるトークコンサートやレクチャーなども多く実施してきた。
「それと共に学校などでのアウトリーチ、コンサートに児童生徒たちを招くインリーチ活動にも取り組んできました。その数は15年間で約300回に及びます。しかし私も今年で36歳。広く音楽を伝える活動は続けますが、これからは私が演奏する音楽がどういう音楽なのか、社会に向けてどのように伝えていけるか、そちらにフォーカスした活動にしていきたいと思っています」
大きな転換点にあたり、10月18日（日）にオペラシティコンサ―トホール「タケミツメモリアル」でリサイタルを開く。プログラムはベートーヴェンの三大ソナタ《悲愴》《月光》《熱情》と、リストの最高傑作《ピアノ・ソナタロ短調》。リスト音楽院大学でみっちり基礎を学んだ金子が何度も取り組んできた曲ではあるが、15年の積み重ねを経てこの4曲を並べ、どのような演奏を聴かせるのか、ある意味では新たに評価を求める場でもある。
もちろん、彼の目はその先を向いている。
「デビュー15年を機にピアニストとして音楽家として、さらに社会人として新たなステップに向かっていくつもりです。柱は三つ。一つ目は演奏会、メディア出演などを含むコンサートピアニストとしての活動。二つ目はアウトリーチ・インリーチなどのエデュケーション＝教育活動。三つ目は音楽家の枠にとどまらないライフワークとしてのカルチャー＝文化活動です。これらの活動の場も日本だけでなく、欧米や東南アジアなどへ広げている最中です」
もっとも金子が力を込めたのは、常に自分へ問いかけてきた「今、リストが今生きていたら何をするのか？」という言葉だった。リスト音楽院大学で学んだ彼は、リストから数えれば直系で６代目の弟子筋に当たる。その責任感も誇りもある。コンサート活動はもちろんアウトリーチに熱心なのは、リストから受け継ぐ母校の伝統だ。2024年4月に発足した音楽好きの子どもに向けた「日本＝ハンガリー未来プロジェクト」でエグゼクティブ・プロデューサーを務めているのも責任感の表れだろう。
