Big studies with millions of kids, including one in Sweden, showed that when you compare brothers and sisters, there’s no higher risk of autism from Tylenol. The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) says there’s no good proof that Tylenol causes autism, and it’s still safe to use for pain or fever during pregnancy when needed.
Always ask: is it correlation (happening together) or causation (one causing the other)? That difference matters.

When I was a kid, I remember bringing him food late at night with my mom. He’d be alone in the office, working. At the time I didn’t get it, but now I do. He came to this country from Chile and built something out of nothing, with discipline, warmth, and this deep sense of responsibility.
He taught me how to use forceps. He taught me that your reputation is everything. That being a physician isn’t just about knowledge — it’s about how you treat people.
It took me a long time to feel like I wasn’t just following in his footsteps but walking alongside him. I had a lot of anxiety before joining the practice. Big shoes to fill. Eventually I realized I didn’t have to be him. I had to be me.
We’re different in style, but the heart is the same. And I’m grateful every day to share this work with him.
