Thailand was the first stop on our Southeast Asia career break, and spending 2 nights in these jungle bungalows in Khao Sok National Park was such a highlight! 🇹🇭🛖🌴
We went on night safaris, deep jungle treks (hello, leeches! 🪱), and spent a night in a wooden bungalow in the middle of a lake.
Honestly, it’s been almost 2 years and I’ve barely shared 5% of our adventures. Can’t wait to show you more from this unforgettable trip!

1. Starting over isn’t reckless, it’s brave
When I took that 6.5-month break in Southeast Asia, I had no clue what was coming next. Just a one-way ticket and a feeling that I couldn’t keep living on autopilot. Scary? Yes. But it changed everything.
2. Your health matters more than your job
Being diagnosed with Stage 4 Endo, followed by major surgery, complications, and a long recovery, forced me to finally start listening to my body. Jobs replace you. Your health doesn’t.
3. Connection is currency
Once I stopped downplaying what I do, started showing up as my authentic self and shared my WHY (rather than stressing out about stats) on, at in-person events, in rooms that scared me – real doors opened.
4. Investing in yourself is never a waste
Whether it’s a course, mentor, or time for your passion, investing in yourself pays off. Joining ‘s community reignited my love for blogging and helped me treat it like a business from the start.
5. The unknown is scary – but it’s where growth happens. Even if it’s just 1% better each day means you’re one step closer to your goal.
6. Stop putting yourself under too much pressure & celebrate small wins like a press invite, an inbound pitch email, or a follower texting that your product/latest reel helped or inspired them.
7. Your dreams DO matter – even when you think you’re delusional. They’re what keeps you going.
8. You don’t have to do it alone
Surround yourself with like-minded people chasing similar dreams and goals. You’ll learn from each other, grow faster, and honestly? It’s just so much more fun!
9. Freedom feels amazing – but it’s a hell of a lot of work too: late nights, self-motivation, and figuring things out on your own.
10. Follow what brings you JOY (that’s usually the best direction to go when you’re lost!)
