The idea for a new space goes back to 2016, when Iād casually look at buildings I had no reason or money to buy. Back then, I didnāt need it. A bigger space felt excessive, and even without much business experience, I knew biting off more than you can chew is a fast way to sink yourself. So the idea stayed a dream.ā
ā
By 2021, that changed. Our team had grown, and our space hadnāt. Six people running production, storage, office work, and fulfillment out of an 800-square-foot room. What once felt scrappy started to feel suffocating. The dream finally gained logic.ā
ā
When I first walked the Shelby Park building, I almost left. The front half was carved into a maze of hallways, neglected and depressing. But the back half told a different story. Exposed cement walls, factory windows, and a massive skylight. The kind of space that makes you stop and think, okay, I can see it.ā
ā
I didnāt move fast enough and lost it. Six months later, after walking other spaces and realizing my mistake, the same building reappeared for lease. We worked out a lease-to-own deal, and in a strange way, that delay helped. I wasnāt doing it alone this time. I had partners, access to a strong GC and build team, and the ability to focus on what I do best: design.ā
ā
We tore the space down to the studs. For some people thatās panic. For me, itās clarity. Once it was framed, I mapped the flow, the function, and the heart of the space. Slowly, the brand became physical.ā
ā
All in, it took about 15 months. We moved in May of 2023. At first, I was too worn down to celebrate. Itās only recently that Iāve been able to say with confidence that we made the right choice as the space has grown into production, fulfillment, showroom, and event space.ā
ā
This coming May marks three years here. Itās not perfect, but itās home. And itās where weāre building the next version of the brand, slowly and with a lot of heart.ā

If youāre ever in Louisville, come by. Weād love to show you around.

If Iām on a road trip and make a wrong turn, a part of me honestly thinks, what if I just keep going? Turning around feels painful. Admitting you missed it feels worse.
But Iāve learned, mostly the hard way, that forward motion isnāt the same thing as progress.
So today, Iām doing the uncomfortable thing. Iām looking back. Reflecting on what worked, what didnāt, and what needs to change so Misc. Goods can be healthier, more focused, and better in 2026.

ā Tyler
This has been a massive 12 months for us. By the end of last year, I was running low on ideas and energy. I had built a business patched together from a lot of really good ideas, but not all of them could support themselves. They needed constant attention, and I was tired, stretched thin, and honestly close to throwing in the towel.
Thankfully, I didnāt.
We held on, rolled the dice, and kept working hard, but this time with better focus. Our customers showed up. The support, encouragement, and belief in what weāre building here has carried us through one of the most meaningful seasons of this business so far. We owe so much of our thankfulness and joy to our customers new and old, the people who saw the vision and chose to support our small corner of the world.
And somewhere in the middle of all that work⦠I guess weāre getting old.
The gray hairs are coming in, and our once-drooling boys are now grown(ish) men crowding the kitchen as we make endless eggs for breakfast. It feels like weāve entered that light-speed phase of life. Itās cosmically unfair how the sweetest years are also the most stressful.
Royal is becoming a real leader with a big vision. He built his first electric motorbike this summer, takes cold plunges almost daily, and is constantly scheming new ways to make money. North could honestly support himself if he needed to. Straight Aās, cooks for himself, takes himself to school, and fills the house with music as he serenades us on his guitar. Win remains our most committed reader, tearing through books and comics each week. He and I have also teamed up to beat Battlefront on Master mode. One mission conquered so far. Ivory is forever discovering new hobbies, leaning into gymnastics, music, and all things active, her sweetness overflowing. And Pearl fully embodies youngest-child energy. Confident, funny, deeply protected by her siblings, and soaking up everything they show her.
Weāre thankful. Weāre tired. And weāre incredibly aware of how lucky we are to do this work and live this life.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a really good new year!
If you twist the lid and swipe your finger, it stays with you, subtle, steady, always ready to travel.
Weāre making the most of all that quiet persistence.
We didnāt design this fragrance to be a best seller, we designed a feeling and that feeling resonates with people.
If you havenāt tried Greyhaven yet ⦠itās time to give it a try.
