このたび、AMACO CAFE & Gallery にて、展覧会「宵支度」を開催させていただく運びとなりました。
京都市立芸術大学の移転に伴い、「若手作家たちへ個展の機会を」という思いのもと、昨年よりギャラリーとして新たに歩みを始められた場所です。昨年の個展の際にお声がけをいただき、今回このようなご縁をいただきました。
美術に親しみのある方だけではなく、これまで日本画に触れる機会のなかった方にも、ふと立ち寄るような感覚でご覧いただけましたら嬉しく思います。
奈良で制作をしていた頃も、京都へ絵具を買い求め、帰りの京阪電車へ向かう道すがら、駅のコンコースで酵房西利さんの西京焼きのお弁当を買い、西大寺のマンションで温め直して食べる時間が、明日へ向かう小さな力になっていました。
今回、「発酵」を長年研究されてきた 京つけもの西利 さんのギャラリーで展示をさせていただくにあたり、作品のテーマも「発酵」「熟成」としました。
また、AMACO CAFE & Gallery さんのために描き下ろした新作も展示予定です。
絵を描くうえでも大切なのは、“寝かせる時間”。
すぐには見えない変化が、静かに深まっていくこと。そんな感覚を、夏のひとときに感じていただけましたら幸いです。
また、会期中には日本画体験ワークショップも開催いたします。

昨日お納めした、祇園の夏を思わせる涼やかな一幅を。
個展会場で見ていた折とはまた違い、
新たな室礼のなかで、いっそう落ち着きのある、しっとりと柔らかな趣となりました。
祇園祭の梵天の簪を挿し、
水風船に興じる舞妓の姿を描いたものです。
お軸は、静好堂中島さんのお仕立て。
一文字には流水文様の金襴、
中廻しには宝七宝文様の別織裂地、
天地には草花文様の裂地を合わせてくださいました。

多くの文人墨客が訪れ、日本の文化芸術に大きな影響を与えてきた、美の原点。
天橋立と言えば雪舟による国宝「天橋立図」。雪舟が天橋立を東側から捉える中で、実際に見えるはずのない沓島と冠島を描かれていることから、この地において神の島への特別な想いが伺えます。今回は、その沓島と冠島を入れた成相寺からの俯瞰図で構成しました。
都会の喧騒を離れた松露亭からは真正面につづく穏やかな阿蘇海と、その名前の由来となった「神の通り道」である一文字の天橋立が目の前に広がります。
さて、白砂青松の絶景を巡る旅を終えた今、改めて神々の心に寄り添いながら、海の京都の新たな魅力をお届けします。

A journey to paint Amanohashidate｜Exhibition
This spring, I painted Amanohashidate for the renewal of "Ama no Ukihashi," a room at Monjusou Shourotei.
Amanohashidate has been visited by many writers and artists, and has greatly influenced Japanese culture and art.
From Shourotei, far from the bustle of the city, you can see the calm Aso Sea directly in front of you and Amanohashidate, the "pathway of the gods," from which the name Amanohashidate derives.
Now that I have completed my journey through the spectacular scenery of white sand and green pines, I will once again take you closer to the heart of the gods and bring you a new fascination of Kyoto by the sea.
