Last weekend, I was invited to attend a masquerade ball in Chiba called Polaria!

ワルツを踊ったことがなかったので緊張していたんですが、失敗しちゃった時でもみんなすごく親切でフレンドリーでした（笑）
I’ve never waltzed before so I was nervous, but everyone was so nice and friendly even when I messed up haha 😆

The ball is hosted around twice a month or so, but I’d definitely like to attend again!

Exactly 20 years today, I visited Harajuku for the first time, and found myself in a little shop called Closet Child 😉
That day, I bought my very first EGL pieces - a skirt and matching socks from now-defunct brand HeartE.
Little did I know that this purchase would change the trajectory of my life completely!
20 years later, I owe most of my friendships to the fashion, I’ve modeled for several brands, and my self esteem and social anxiety have improved.
Recently things have honestly been pretty garbage, but the support I’ve received from the amazing people I’ve met in the EGL community has kept me going.
After two months of holding onto it, I finally felt like I was ready to wear the Baby the Stars Shine Bright iconic Elizabeth onepiece this past weekend - it’s such a beautiful dress, and some part of me felt like I would taint it if I wore it while hating myself.
That day was honestly the first time in weeks I didn’t cry or have a panic attack.
EGL is truly powerful 💙
