This was my first time holding an exhibition at a street-level gallery in Harajuku. Thanks to the beautiful glass-walled space, many people walking by popped in out of curiosity, leading to so many wonderful, unexpected encounters.
What touched my heart the most was meeting so many international visitors.
Art lovers from South Africa, the US, Sweden, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and beyond visited and took my pieces home with them. Thinking about my work crossing the ocean to be displayed in far-off lands brings me such a deep sense of joy and excitement.
For this exhibition, my biggest goal was to create prints that possess a unique, tangible beauty as physical art pieces. After much trial and error, I chose โBizanโ (handcrafted Awa Washi paper) combined with giclรฉe printing. The texture and the unique deckled edges of the washi paper brought out a stunning depth in the photographs. For the mini-prints, I used โUnryuโ Awa Washi, which has beautiful shimmering fibers that make the prints feel premium and alive.
Iโm also thrilled to have finally released my first-ever photo BOOK, compiling my โLanguage of Flowersโ series, along with the Petit โminoriโ plushies! Seeing them lined up all squished together was just incredibly adorable.

Since the gallery was located on the street level, I was so happy to have the opportunity to show my work to many people who didnโt know me before. Hello, I am minori. I am delighted to announce my solo exhibition in Harajuku this June! ๐ธ
The theme of this exhibition is "Florio-graphy" (the language of flowers). The collection features my long-cherished series of photographic works and paintings inspired by flowers.

Since there are many people who are new to my art work, let me explain a bit about it.
I create art works with photographer since 2011. (Soooo long๐คฃ) I use Shironuri (painted white makeup) and create clothing inspired by themes such as nature, the universe, traditional clothing, and the language of flowers.
I want to merge with the things I love and exist as a harmonious energyโthis idea shapes my art work. Through clothing and makeup, I transform my form to connect with each theme, aiming for deeper harmony.
For me, clothing is a tool to change form. I want to become different things, blend into them, and express this through my photos. In the interview, I mentioned "Yaoyorozu"๏ผYaoyorozunokami๏ผโif possible, Iโd love to harmonize with the gods in all things!
