Yo, sí. Crecí en Xochimilco, el lugar en la Ciudad de México donde se construyó la pista de remo y canotaje para las olimpiadas de México 68 y por la admiración que le tengo a mi hermano mayor, comencé e remar.
Fue una época que recuerdo con mucho cariño, por la gente, por las experiencias, por los logros…
En algún momento pensé que podría representar a México y mi mente soñadora se veía a en unas olimpiadas, pero la verdad es que los deportes de alto rendimiento son para personas con un nivel impresionante de compromiso. Sin embargo, sí creo que al remo le debo muchas características de mi fortaleza de carácter, capacidad de enfoque y disciplina.
