I have to give credit though... this one is pretty original.
What started as a “small” 100-day celebration for my daughter (omg, I still think it's wild to say that 😱) quickly escalated to what felt like a "second wedding" 🫠 And as scary as that sounds, we're super grateful to have people love on her and us so hard.

In Chinese and many Asian cultures, the 100-day birthday is a deeply meaningful milestone, and celebrating our baby girl surrounded by 200 people at Sea Harbour felt incredibly special.

We were so happy to share the day with our community, complete with an unforgettable lion dance, and amazing wine from one of Canada's best wineries, Phantom Creek. If you haven't been to the property, it's incredible. We poured their Cabernet Franc and Riesling (which baby girl was mesmerized at 🍷), and both went so well with the traditional Chinese multicourse dinner. My mom lovingly custom-made her 100-day dress, and we even put her first tiny pair of heels on her 🤭.

From loving messages, meal deliveries, baby-holding, and endless offers to help, we've felt so supported from even before she was born. Our girl is so lucky to be loved by so many friends and family and so are we. Thankful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🥰
When it rains it pours. 🌧️

My fav shoot from 2025 with and my hair and MUA. I was 35 weeks pregnant, carrying that zero f*cks given attitude, which surprisingly kind of stayed, and very eager to have her out. Time was going by so slowly and now it's flying by, minus those harder days and nights when minutes seem like hours.

Looking at these photos now, I’m in awe of what a woman’s body can do. The unglamorous parts were real like having my organs pushed up, skin stretched, gaining 40-ish extra pounds etc., but so was the power. I carried her. I held her. I made space for her. I was her home for nine months and now she is mine.

And now, even when everything seems to come at once and I feel like I'm doing a shit job (motherhood is full of self-doubt), she is my reminder that I can hold more than I ever thought possible, and learning as I go is somehow enough 💕
So many things to be grateful for this year, but this one takes the cake. Ending the year celebrating this one's 100 Days Birthday... in her first pair of heels 🤭
🧋This was SO FUN! White Elephant: Bubble Tea Edition was a total hit at my holiday reunion with my cousins. This is only a quarter of my cousins on one side of my family too.

We took this very seriously and my sister wrote out specific rules.

The Great Bubble Tea Exchange Rules:

1. Request minimal amount of ice to prevent dilution and max 50% sugar.
2. Bring a drink that you would at least drink yourself. No junky/intentionally gross drinks. No point wasting.
3. Kids are welcome to participate. Younger kids can bring a non caffeinated option and we will label those drinks with a sticker. The younger kids can choose from those options.
4. All drinks will be covered with brown paper bags upon arrival and shuffled. Please make sure your drink is labeled (shop usually has the description and any customizations on the label), sealed and includes a straw.
5. The exchange will start promptly to maintain the drinks' freshness so don't be late or you'll miss out.
6. Each drink can be stolen a max of 2 times.
7. Don't get "handsy" with the drinks and start feeling them up from the outside to guess. Yes, sometimes the size of the package gives it away.

Thank you for the idea! Our first time doing this and certainly not our last.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Our baby girl’s first Christmas! It’s always been my favourite holiday, and I can’t wait to introduce her to all our family traditions. Christmas just got about 10 times busier, but easily 1,000 times more joyful. Can't wait to do all the things with her in the coming years (she's too young still for most), and I know it'll go by so quick! Until then, Santa photos at the mall will do! 🥰

🦃 Thankful to call this country my forever home 🇨🇦. I'm continually reminded of its vibrant, passionate, environmentally conscious, locally supportive, and diverse culinary talent when I browse through the Michelin restaurant lists in Vancouver. And yes, there are many also not listed I still see and love.

A heartfelt thank you to, and of course, you, for the opportunity to once again be part of your stage, screens, and community.

A huge congratulations to the dedicated individuals, both in the front and back of the house, who tirelessly contribute to this industry. And to our valued customers, sponsors, media, social influencers, community members, supporters, and food lovers, thank you for keeping the culinary world alive with your unwavering enthusiasm and interest. We would not be here without you. Happy Thanksgiving everyone ❤️
TAG YOUR BUFFET BESTIES! Mind blowing 🤯 I didn't even know the French did buffets, but if they're going to do it, let it be the one and only in Narbonne, France.

French locals (mostly) and international tourists make hard to get reservations months in advance for their chance to indulge in literally hundreds of items.

It's a luxury hotel buffet meets white tablecloth fine dining and a full service rotisserie. It features 30+ plated French classics like Rossini Tournedos, cassoulet, and even a section dedicated to the pressed duck from One Michelin Star La Tour d'Argent in Paris.

Along with hot buffet items, they also offer 9 types of foie gras, caviar, lobster, oysters, jamon, charcuterie galore & much more.

It's one of those bucket list "foodie experiences", and since one can't possibly try everything without wasting a lot, you have to be selective.

At 65% full I decided to zone in on the infamous cheese section which showcases 111 cheeses and is the biggest cheese offering in a restaurant worldwide (Guiness Book of World Records). After all this is France, it's what they're best at and you won't be able to do this anywhere else. 🇫🇷

There is an amazing cheese specialist to assist and I managed to try 67. My tasting was gradual (by power) starting with mild and the most powerful blues last.

Here are some of my favourite cheeses, mind you they will taste different according to the supplier and they don't list all the suppliers. All are from France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. I also included the popular ones that are always good.

PS: This buffet is only 52.90€/person 🤯

What an honour it was to be your host for the first-ever Michelin Guide revelation in Vancouver last night. Even though it was not my night, it meant everything for me to be there to support you and this city that has inspired my career so much. I am forever grateful for your kindness and love.

Congratulations to all the One Michelin Stars, Bib Gourmands, and Michelin Recommendations for putting us further on the international culinary map. Your hard work is well recognized and you are now on the stage with others setting the same bar.

As much as I travel and dine, I say with all my heart how lucky I am to live in Vancouver and have access to some of the world's top talents and ingredients. I am so proud to be part of this industry and I thank all of you for carrying me to this point of my career. I am forever and always yours first, Vancouver. 🇨🇦

Thank you
