This piece feels more like the first attempt than the final answer.
Next time, I already know what needs to change:
different colors, stronger light, better balance, more restraint, more depth.
I’m going to paint it again and push it further until the feeling matches the vision.

Surface design has always shaped the way I see color, texture, layering, and repetition and lately I’ve been letting that bleed back into my paintings.
None of these pieces feel finished yet.
For the first time in a long time, I’m not rushing to call a painting done just because I can. I want to sit with the work longer. Push it further. Ruin it a little. Rebuild it.
I think the next few months are going to be nothing but paint, layers, revisions, and work.
Just working until the paintings finally say what they’re supposed to say.
