I started braiding at 15, just a young girl with a gift and a vision I couldn’t fully explain yet. By 19, I took the leap and made it my full-time reality. At 20, I chose discipline over comfort and stepped into cosmetology school, determined to refine what God already placed in my hands.
MiaOnTheHair was built in lockdown, refined through 1,500 hours of dedication. These moments capture every phase: the student of the game, the book worm, me vs me, the late nights & early mornings stepping into my power as a businesswoman, and a little “too cool for school” in between.
This journey wasn’t just about a license — it was about learning & becoming. I lost some incredible souls along the way, and I found lifelong ones too. Every lesson, every setback, every win shaped me into who I am today.
Grateful to God for 24 years of life and the strength to keep going. When passion meets purpose… this is what it looks like 💫

For the people who don’t know, I started doing hair at 15 and I was a traveling stylist, my and my dad drove me to EVERY hair appointment!😂
When I wanted to drop out of college to pursue hair full time my dad was the FIRST person I told & he told me he supported me whole heartedly. He told me “you have the hustle to chase your dreams”.
I’m not gonna lie, this last year has been hard, but I trust God. Thank you to every sweet soul I’ve encountered these past 10 months. I love what I do, I’ve been a service provider for the last 5 years, coming to work has kept me sane on some of my hardest days. I love and appreciate everyone who supports my brand❤️ #MiaOnTheHair
