Join us for our final edition before the summer break as TRINKA takes the stage. We'll be back at the end of August with a special Vintage Voudou Forró edition—but first, let's celebrate together.
TRINKA (Agogo Records) is a contemporary Afro-Brazilian trio bringing together the rhythms and musical traditions of the Portuguese-speaking world. Led by Brazilian singer-songwriter Dandara Modesto, Portuguese guitarist and producer João Pires, and Brazilian percussionist Juninho Ibituruna, the trio blends Afro-Brazilian grooves, rich vocal harmonies, guitar, percussion, and subtle electronic textures.
Their music draws on voices from Brazil, Portugal, Angola, and beyond, featuring lyrics by celebrated Angolan author José Eduardo Agualusa alongside Brisa Marques and Pedro Luís. The Portuguese language becomes the thread connecting these stories, rhythms, and cultures into a vibrant and deeply human live performance.

In the city of Thebes, no one can sleep. Behind closed doors, people whisper that something is rotten, that a strange smell is spreading through the streets and into their homes. The guards try to stay awake around the fire, playing cards and telling jokes while the king wonders if he made the right decision. And somewhere in the darkness stands Antigone, alone on the hill above the city. Tonight, she will defy the king to do what she believes is right. Inspired by the ancient Greek tragedy written by Sophocles over two thousand years ago, this storytelling and music performance retells the story of Antigone.
RASHA HILWI | GUIDELINES TO A HAPPY MOTHERHOOD
A deeply personal storytelling performance about motherhood and mental health in dark times, following a Palestinian mother’s journey through grief, love, pain, and joy as she raises her children in a foreign city far from home. Rasha Hilwi is a Palestinian writer, journalist, editor, and storyteller from Akka based in Amsterdam. During New Harvest, she will present this work-in-progress performance, directed by Raffi Feghali.

We're thrilled to welcome back Nano Stern, one of the leading voices of contemporary Chilean folk music.
Over the years, Nano has collaborated with legendary artists including Joan Baez, Jorge Drexler, Quilapayún, Inti-Illimani, Pedro Aznar, El Kanka, and many more.
A true virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, Nano weaves together the rich traditions of Chilean folk music with influences from rock, Renaissance music, and jazz, creating a sound that is entirely his own. His powerful voice and mastery of instruments such as guitar, violin, nyckelharpa, willow flute, and more make every performance unforgettable.
In 2020, amid Chile's social uprising, he published his first poetry collection, Décimas del Estallido. Since then, he has developed a unique live format that seamlessly blends songs and poetry into a moving and original performance.
Following the release of Nano Stern canta a Víctor Jara (2023), Nano returns with a concert that brings together his own compositions and beloved songs from the Chilean and Latin American songbook. Through these interpretations, he pays tribute to iconic artists such as Víctor Jara and Violeta Parra while continuing to shape the future of Latin American folk music.
