Hiring a virtual assistant isn’t about not being capable.
It’s about recognising that your time is valuable.

Many businesses hire a creative virtual assistant for help with:
• Design Tasks
• Social Media Visualsļæ½
• Marketing Materials
• Content Organisation
• Creative Project Support
• Event Management
• Customer Support
• Website Updating

Because doing everything alone isn’t sustainable.
Retouching is a language, and not everyone speaks it fluently.

There’s a constant balance between refinement and honesty. Knowing when to stop before ā€œbetterā€ turns into something unrealistic is part of the craft.

In a world obsessed with perfection, editing gets a bad reputation. When done thoughtfully, it is simply another creative tool used to present a product or service clearly.

The real skill is restraint.

Fonts can make or break a design. My go-to tip: pick one hero font + one clean support font (and maybe an accent).ļæ½

I used to believe constant music helped my productivity.
Now I have realised my brain works differently.

Focused silence for deep work, short music breaks for resets, then back into flow.

Understanding how your brain works is one of the biggest creative advantages you can develop.

Eventually it becomes clear that doing everything alone slows things down.

A creative virtual assistant helps take some of those tasks off your plate so your business can move forward with less overwhelm.

Sometimes support is the smartest next step.
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how much our environment shapes our creativity.
Right now I’m surrounded by rolling hills… vineyards stretching into the distance… soft light bouncing off endless rows of green and gold. And without even trying, I can feel my creative direction shifting.
I’m drawn to slower tones… earthy palettes… richer textures… imagery that feels warm, grounded and a little nostalgic.
It’s a reminder that inspiration isn’t something you force. It’s something you absorb… often without realising it… through the places you live, the landscapes you see every day, and the pace of the world around you.
I’ve learnt to lean into that instead of fighting it. To let my environment guide the work instead of chasing trends that don’t feel natural to where I am or what I’m experiencing.
Where you are matters.
What surrounds you matters.
And sometimes the most authentic creative direction comes from simply paying attention to what is already around you.
I’m curious… how much do you think your environment influences your style or creativity?
I remember this shoot so vividly... I had built a barrier in my mind, that I didn’t have the capabilities to shoot with any other type of lighting other than what I knew so well. I saw black & white images, and thought ā€˜nope, I couldn’t possibly make it look good so I won’t try’. For this shoot, I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a go & I completely surprised myself. Of course the job was made a whole lot easier with an incredible model like but my jebus am I glad I gave it a go! i can’t imagine this set not being in my portfolio... one of my ultimate favourites šŸ’“.
