Sunday at Hogganfield was such a mood. It was freezing, but thereâs something so peaceful about walking there when itâs quiet, sun shinning and you can see your own breath. The water was like a mirror, totally still.
I never realized itâs actually where the Molendinar Burn starts (basically Glasgowâs birthplace), which is pretty cool for a local spot. The walk around the loop is only about 2km, so itâs easy, but on a cold day, it feels like youâre miles away from the city noise.
I spent most of the time watching the birds. The swans are always there being dramatic, but I saw some Whooper Swans (the ones with the yellow beaks that fly in from Iceland for the winter) and a few Grebes. Itâs just... soft. No better way to describe it. #exploringglasgow #scotland #travelscotland
Ps: Theyâre easy to carry around, taste great and offer a convenient way to enjoy dairy again. #milkaid #AD #lactoseintolerance
For a long time, I thought financial freedom was only about spreadsheets and willpower, but what about the deep, constant anxiety that keeps you stuck in scarcity?
Thatâs why Iâm beyond thrilled to share that I got an advanced copy of Rhonda Byrneâs new book: 21 Days to Financial Freedom: Countdown to Riches. Yes, that Rhonda Byrne, the mind behind The Secret.
Iâm taking the leap into her 21-day âboot camp,â and what Iâm realizing is that before the numbers can change, the mindset has to change first. This isnât just about good vibes; itâs a mental construction project.
5 Practices Iâm Starting IMMEDIATELY:
YOUR WISH LIST (Day 1): Getting aggressively specific about what I truly desire, shifting from âsurvivalâ to âcreation.â
TURN OUTGOING MONEY INTO INCOMING MONEY (Day 2): Flipping the dread of paying a bill into a feeling of gratitude for the service received and the abundance that allows me to pay it. (This is a huge mental block-buster for me)
IâM A MULTIMILLIONAIRE (Day 13): A bold practice of visualizing myself already at the wealth level I want. It feels silly, but Iâm committing to the feeling.
THANK YOUâPAID! (Day 14): Taking my bills, writing âTHANK YOUâPAID!â across them, and closing the debt loop with gratitude instead of fear. (SEE PHOTO 2! This one is powerful.)
MORE MONEY IS COMING TO ME TODAY (Day 17): A high-vibration affirmation to hold all day long to keep my energy focused on attraction.
The struggle is real, and the system is complex, but I believe we have to start somewhere. If youâve ever felt trapped by debt, I hope you get a copy of this book! Iâm ready for my own countdown to riches đ
Are you ready to rewire your financial story?

My full review is on the blog, but the stories about maps gone wrong are genuinely bonkers. Did you know there are fake cities on maps? đ€
If you need proof the world is ridiculous, here are just three of the stories packed inside:
The IKEA Disaster: The map that was so wrong it completely forgot New Zealand existed. Seriously, an entire country vanished.
The Border-Crossing Pub: A single bar where the landlord has to tell customers to move their pint from the Netherlands to Belgium to finish their drink when one countryâs closing time hits. You canât make this stuff up!
The Paper Town: The fictional, secret town a mapmaker invented to catch copycatsâthat eventually willed itself into real-life existence because people kept putting it on maps.
The worst maps truly are the best maps. If you need a smart, hilarious book to read, this is it.

What struck me most was how it sits directly opposite the cathedral. The two seem to speak to each other across the road, one shaped by living things, the other by ancient craftsmanship and together they create a setting that feels deeply rooted and steady. If you enjoy places where faith, history, and quiet beauty meet, this spot is worth the detour.
However, Iâm not going to lie. Itâs not always a smooth ride. Elton has been famously criticised, and he doesnât shy away from addressing it. This sometimes gives the writing a self-defensive, even a touch smug, flavour. Heâs happy to list his celebrity admirers (cue the humblebrag section) and feels wounded by the critics who turned against his later work.
After finishing What Have I Done?, the main feeling is one of immense respect for the sheer volume and cultural impact of the manâs work. Yes, the book occasionally wallows in the critical slights, and the pace is a bit âbaggyâ at times (as one reviewer put it, he doesnât leave anything out!). But the enduring truth is that Ben Elton has been an absolute titan of British comedy and a vital chronicler of the times, both in his stand-up and his writing.

Sipping my MotherâŻRootâŻGinger by the loch as the sun dips low. This fieryâfresh drink is my current fav: made from zesty apple cider vinegar, a generous hit of ginger, mellow blossom honey, and a gentle lick of chilli. ïżŒ
I usually enjoy it simply: shake the bottle (they recommend eight times), pour about 25âŻml over ice, then top it with 150âŻml soda or sparkling water for that crisp, slow burn. ïżŒ
But when I want something more playful or refined, Iâve been mixing it up:
âą A bright Picante: Mother Root + lime juice + jalapeños + a bit of jalapeño brine, shaken, served over ice, garnished with chilli. ïżŒ
âą A soft sour: Mother Root + lemon + a touch of 2:1 honey syrup + half an egg white, shaken into a frothy, smooth sip. ïżŒ
âą A warm morning ritual: a dash of Mother Root in hot water, with a squeeze of honey if Iâm feeling cozy. ïżŒ
What I love most? Itâs bold but kind â it doesnât feel like sugar-laden soda, and itâs not pretending to be alcohol. Just honest ingredients that make me pause, breathe, and enjoy the moment. #motherroot #ginger
