Your favourite 🏃‍♂️ tracks in Melbourne? Mine 👇
.
👇 This is where you'll find me.. 👇
🏅Along the yarra - long slow hilly or speed reps at sunrise
🥈Beach Road - hate the wind but love the beach views, especially when suns out
🥉Albert Park Lake is classic.. flat, fast, great for speed/tempo work
🏃‍♂️I'm also a sucker for track sessions, and also love to get down the Peninsula or overseas for some runs.

2024 Melbourne Marathon!

My 4th at Melbourne and 9th overall.

Today exceeded all expectations 😊

It’s been a very difficult 12 months 😥

After breaking my foot last December, I was unable to run for 6 months. It was setback after setback, and the bone still hasn’t (and may never) join together.

Not doing what I love or having it as a mental outlet was one thing, but it left me just 4 months to piece together training from scratch, with no speed work allowed, less runs per week and all at a slower pace.

My training went as well as it could, I was disciplined and pulled back when needed.

Goals for today were:
1. Get to the start line ✅
2. Get to the finish line ✅

Whilst I had no time goals as the run went on I really wanted to get sub 4 hours to be the exclamation on the day!

The race was going very consistent and well, but as the heat increased, and the race got deeper it got a lot harder. I hit a wall at 37km, and it became a real struggle. With 2km to go the 4 hour pacers caught me, but I managed to find something, and finish stronger to come in just under
4 hours ✅

The foot felt ok too👌🙌

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, not just in my running but in a difficult year, you know who you are! 🙏🥰

Special thanks to and the girls, for all our runs and Morgs for getting me to the start line.

So excited to officially become a Spartan. A challenging run today, backing up 2 weeks after Berlin Mara but happy to get it done. Amazing effort by all the out there today, from the 5km to the full 42.2 we had over 30 runners participate. Well done to everyone who finished, to the event crew and supporters out on course. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out of the comfort zone, it’s not easy but it’s always worth it.

A special weekend! - Repost

A special weekend❣️⬇️
In the midst of so many plans and targets, for my main goal was finally break the 1:20h wall. My girlfriend who ran her first Half Marathon in January of this year, was willing to make her first result below 1:50h. We have been training together adapting work routines and other activities and in the last running of the week, Elysha started to feel knee pain and I got strong flu symptoms. We tried to take care of ourselves as much as we can, praying and rest for the race day.
The Half Mara started and I tried to keep my pace plan even not feeling 100%, but shortly after km 10 I began to see that it wouldn’t be possible to beat my time and I was losing my strength. Before the km 17 was only one thing in my mind:
“Instead of ending with a random time, I’ll come back and help my partner to win! Elysha needs this PB and today it’s about her!”
I started jogging in the opposite direction looking for her face and in my head it would be after 15 minutes. I saw on the runners the question marks “why this random guy is running back?” But I was only willing to find her and I got it. What a wonderful moment!
We ran together a bit more than 5km and I was making sure to keep Ely motivated with a good pace and serving water and supporting.
We arrived together! Hands up and celebrating the INCREDIBLE 1:47:25 NEW PB. Victory!

When one of us win, the prize is for both❤️

Medal Monday. Melbourne Marathon number 11 was so much fun.
My first one I didn’t know anyone. These days it’s a party with friends the whole way.
