Im anschließenden Gespräch treten sie gemeinsam mit den Kurator*innen Lena Unger und Jan Meier in den Austausch und laden zur offenen Diskussion ein.
Zwischen Analyse und Entscheidung liegt ein Moment des Suchens, Zweifelns und Abwägens, das sich nur schwer beschreiben und damit auch nur schwer vermitteln lässt.
Architektonische Haltung wird in unserem Metier nicht selten zur Ideologie der eigenen Überzeugung. Diese erscheint plausibel und konsistent, weil sie der Logik eines Narrativs folgt und sich argumentativ begründen lässt. Gleichzeitig verändern gesellschaftliche und ökologische Diskurse fortlaufend die Maßstäbe, nach denen entwerferische Lösungen bewertet werden.
Entscheidungen scheinen sich unmittelbar aus nachhaltigen Materialien, konstruktiven Prinzipien oder ökologischen Notwendigkeiten abzuleiten. Solchen Argumentationen lässt sich leicht folgen – sie erscheinen schlüssig und überzeugend.
Und dennoch bleibt ein Misstrauen gegenüber dieser Eindeutigkeit. Entwerfen ist kein linearer Prozess, sondern ein vielschichtiges, tastendes und suchendes Geschehen, dessen Ziel zu Beginn oft noch unbekannt ist.

We remodeled and renovated a small house with a narrow structure.
The project focused on improving spatial qualities and strengthening the relationship between the interior and the large garden.
A central aspect of the renovation was the reconfiguration of the oversized stairwell. Instead of remaining a purely functional circulation space, it was integrated into the living areas and became a connective element within the house, contributing to spatial continuity and everyday use.
