And when Mike & I separated at 33 years old, I started to wonder if it would ever happen.
Would we ever get there.
Then when at 35, our first pregnancy ended up being a complete molar pregnancy and miscarriage, it threw double the doubt into the mix, especially being told I had to wait 6 months to a year to start trying again.
And to now at 38 have TWO beautiful, fun, FUNNY, vibrant healthy boys, makes me realize it all happened exactly as it was meant to.
So on the hard days when I feel like I can’t do this, when I feel like I CEO’d so hard AND MOM’d so hard, I remember…
This is the “hard” I always wanted in life.
The hard I will NEVER take for granted.
The hard that’s 100% worth it.
It’s true that having kids changes you in so many ways you can’t even predict: it has a way of changing things that NEEDED to be changed (especially in my business).
It changed my obsession with certain things that simply don’t matter. It made me care about what’s important and let go of what isn’t.
It made me a better entrepreneur and coach, without a doubt. It gave me skills that I know set me apart from competition. And it let me relate to people on a different level.
And the best part about being a twin mom? They are SUCH a good example of nature vs nurture.

🅱️Kevin: I love your insatiable zest for life, your kisses, your “IDGAF” attitude climbing on everything and anything with zero fear.

💻Taking the risk of pausing my business to recalibrate, figure out what I truly wanted to do and what aligned with my new main role as a mom.
💰Coming back to biz with a vengeance; going for it and providing financially for my family in a BIG way.
I know what he’d think…how proud he is of me.
It sounds egotistical to say that, but my Dad modeled being proud of your kid no matter what–in the most beautiful way; something I will take with me as a parent.
He was my biggest cheerleader with performing (along with my Mom)
He was SO obsessed with me being an entrepreneur and always excited about my business. In fact, he was the only family member I could really share the details with (the good and BAD investments..the highs AND lows). I mean…he was my accountant so he saw it all🤪
His pride in me, his only daughter, being her true self is something I wish I appreciated more in the moment. (He would literally talk to the cashiers at the grocery store about me. I’m not kidding).
Because knowing how proud he would be has directed my actions over the last two years.
👉What would Dad say if I did this? Thought this? Acted this way?
And as long as it came from trusting my gut, operating from my true values and being myself…
He’d be PROUD.
I will continue to live my life this way: what would make Dad proud? Because it always comes back to being myself.
And he gave me that.
The last two years I have experienced the deepest pain with him gone. It sucks to lose a parent this young, I won’t sugarcoat it. It really sucks.
AND we keep going…to make him proud. To make him smile. To make his legacy worth it.
🍿So off I go to celebrate my Dad by doing what we did best: going to the movies and watching Harry Potter🤣

I remember the years I’d do my best to be happy for others when inside I was dying to be a mom, and dreading this day.
But I never in a million years expected the journey (while incredibly heart wrenching at moments) to lead me to TWO beautiful boys who are my entire world today.

Our hearts are truly outside our bodies as they say💙💙
The last 48 hours has been the most intense dichotomy of pure love and joy and non stop crying (both me and the boys) and overwhelm.
I know for a fact that being a twin mom at the newborn stage (and that twin v*ginal birth) will be the hardest thing I’ll ever do in my life, but hands down the most rewarding.
