A coffee for the journey ā˜•ļø
Happy birthday to my amazing husband,!

Can’t believe this is 13 birthdays together!! Growing older together is my favorite- because that means we never stop growing together through every up and down.

May this be your most blessed one yet. I can’t wait to see the adventures and destinations this one brings ā™„ļø You are my soulmate and I love you dearly.

āž”ļø Swipe for just some fun #megbert adventures from the last year. 🫶
After countless times ordering from on, I was excited to finally try it in person in Dubai!

HAPI has been seed oil free since 2016 and has been at the forefront of healthy living in Dubai and all of the uae. I had steak and tallow fries and Albert had the chicken and tallow fries. The bone broth was out of this world and the coffee from was excellent as well.

Wait til the end to see some of the items we brought home too. šŸ›ļø

It exceeded every expectation!
After endometriosis and fibroid surgery, getting back to movement and feeling strong again has honestly kept me sane during some wild times.

There’s something healing about returning to your routine, moving your body, getting outside, eating healthy and slowly feeling like yourself again.

But honestly, a part of me feels different… like I won’t be the same exact person I was. Not in a bad way. More like ā€˜I’m in a new unknown phase of growth trying to figure everything out’ kind of way. I’m embracing the knowns and the unknowns.
I had the most amazing at-home spray tan experience with Jen of #inAbuDhabi on Saadiyat šŸ¤Ž

From start to finish, the experience was impeccable and we became fast friends that we could have spoken all day. The color of the tan is exactly what I wanted and she gave me all of the best tips and tricks for pre- and post-tan care.

With the heat of the summer in the UAE, it’s hard to get the desired tan by laying out in the sun and this is the perfect solution šŸ¤—

I loved this mobile spray tan experience and I’m already looking forward to the next one! šŸ¤ŽšŸ«¶
#StoryTime āœļø One year ago today, I had my last alcoholic drink.

I didn’t quit due to addiction. I quit because I finally connected the dots: alcohol was feeding the exact thing I was using it to escape. I’d have a drink to take the edge off my anxiety, and then spend the next day or two in this fog of dread that was so much worse than what I started with. I was relying on something to relieve my anxiety that was quietly handing it back to me with interest.

A year ago, as a newbie in Abu Dhabi, I felt what a perfect place to stop and see what happens. Here I have access to wonderful craft mocktails without the debilitating feeling for 2 days after.

One year later, here’s where I’ve landed:

The anxiety lifted in a way I didn’t expect. Not gone completely, because that’s not how life works (and we’ve had a lot of ish go down), but that low background hum of dread is just not there anymore.

My sleep is deeper, my mornings are clearer, and I actually feel my emotions instead of numbing and then bracing for the rebound.

I thought I’d miss it, but the longer I go without it, the less I desire it. That surprised me more than anything. Social situations, winding down, celebrating, for me none of it needs a drink to work anymore.

Choosing this and sticking to it for a year helped me see even more how much I’m capable of.

Many people feel fine with alcohol consumption and I have zero judgement if not drinking isn’t your thing (I have Irish & Italian heritage after all lol). But, if you’ve ever wondered whether drinking is helping your anxiety or feeding it, that question alone is worth sitting with.

Will I go back? Who knows… but for now, I’m looking forward to more sober years.

#throwback #TBT Acceptance to and graduation from Villanova on the same day, different years. Can’t believe it’s been 16 years since my acceptance and 13 years since my graduation. āœŒļø

If you told me back then that in 2026, I’d be living in a place I could barely pin point on a map at the time, I never would have believed you. (Except thankfully my good friend from school inspired me to even learn more about what Dubai/UAE was at the time).

If you think you can map out your entire life to go fully and exactly according to planned, you’re 1) sadly mistaken and 2) doing yourself a disservice.

Life is an adventure and just trust God and the process.
Lots of new friends on here lately from recent posts! So nice to meet you all. Here’s a little bit about me, so you know what to expect here:

ā–ŖļøMy dog (baby) is cooler than I am
ā–ŖļøI share things that I love, especially health and wellness realm due to my own journey
ā–ŖļøWe travel often, there’s no better education than seeing the world
ā–ŖļøEndometriosis advocate and patient
ā–ŖļøReal estate broker
ā–ŖļøExtremely into holistic health and ancestral wellness, but I refuse to dress like a barefoot hippie or a trad wife
ā–ŖļøMy biological age is 16, but I’m in my 30s
ā–ŖļøI say what everyone else is thinking and probably overshare a little
ā–ŖļøI have a lot of names, so just choose one and you got it right

🫶 my website covers all these things and more:
Adjusting to life in a different country has been such a beautifully eye opening experience. While it has been mainly incredible, it hasn’t always been as effortless as it looks.

It has been full of new rhythms, lessons, and little tests of patience… the typical ones that come with moving, but then there’s more: like wondering when our shipping container will arrive, my phone not always working yet, visas, hot water switches, or memorizing Celsius and the metric system šŸ˜‚.

I’ve had to learn when to slow down (we both got sick, so our bodies forced us to), and when to just let things unfold.

There have been moments where I still can’t believe we’re doing this, but I can’t imagine us doing anything else.

The growth has been real, the gratitude runs deep, and the shift in perspective is something I’ll carry forever. I wouldn’t trade this chapter for anything and look forward to continuing on this wild ride God is taking us on šŸ¤

#1in10 women have Endometriosis. I am 1 in 10.

Approximately 10 years ago, I first heard the word ā€œ#Endometriosisā€ and quite literally fainted (twice) in the doctor’s office. The word defining the chronic illness that explained my 10+ years of pain and suffering... countless cancelled plans.. lost friends.. having no choice but to create my own career path..

I cannot believe that it took me 10 years of searching for answers to even hear the word of endometriosis, now I am almost 10 years post op.

There are millions of women who still do not have legitimate answers to explain their pain and/or #infertility, and many of them don’t even know this disease exists. But if you know 10 women, you know endometriosis.

Prior to my July 2015 excision surgery, my entire day-to-day was dominated by the debilitating pain for such a large portion of my life.

I am blessed to now have my pain under control, however, I still absolutely still deal with the effects of this chronic illness.

This disease has caused me so much physical and emotional pain over the years. It has also brought me the opportunity to help thousands of other women

Endometriosis is the disease that led me to make the lifestyle changes that I share on here today.

For more information on endometriosis or anything about the community DM me. Nothing is too much information. Let’s help those who are suffering in silence and constantly told that their chronic pain is in their head.
