Monstera deliciosa ‘Masterpiece’ has been accepted into the IAS Aroid Cultivars Registry.
This cultivar originated as a seed sport of Monstera deliciosa, meaning its unique traits appeared naturally from seed.
‘Masterpiece’ is known for its creamy eggshell white blotches and speckles across green leaves. The variegation is not limited to the blade. The petioles and stem also show color, and even the spathe carries variegation. As it matures, the large leaves really highlight the contrast and pattern, setting it apart from other sports of Monstera deliciosa.
It is classified as a sport cultivar and was both originated and named by Michael D’Andrea
