Especially radiant in the Vero Beach daylight, their Wicomico White finish and Aeolian Swan fabric land as softly as sand dunes on Treasure Shores. It's made for days that begin with beach cruising and end right here, a gin rickey in hand.

A Richmond-based plantswoman of exceptional vision, our 2026 Artist in Residence Anne Blackwell Thompson employs heritage techniques to transfigure ephemeral botany into permanent masterworks. It is a privilege to introduce her to those who haven’t yet had the pleasure—though we know many of our clients are already among her collectors. There is a beautiful alignment in our community; our clients appreciate the quiet discipline of her process and the timelessness of her results just as deeply as we do. Her current exhibit in our NY Showroom is available for viewing through May 15th, 2026.

Anchored beneath two ethereal panels, our new Campostela Console Tables make their debut at the 2026 Southeastern Designer Showhouse. In the loggia and pool terrace, our friend Suzanne Kasler masterfully curates a selection from our Bastille, Thirza, duVal, Wyatt, and Campostela collections. Tied together by our signature Natural Bronze finish, the result is a cohesive, timeless ensemble we believe will go down in showhouse history.

Last week’s Spring Designer Retreat brought together a remarkable group of designers to explore the heart of Richmond. From an alfresco dînatoire in co-founder Will Massie’s city garden and workshop tours at our Headquarters to a tour of the, a gorgeous project,, and, it was a celebration of design in all its forms.

Over the past 25 years, our Co-founder and CEO, Will Massie, has created a harmonious garden abundant with antiquities and McKinnon and Harris furniture finished in Shenandoah Gray Green at his home in Richmond, Virginia’s historic Fan District. Below, Will shares insight on how he has achieved his signature style. You can also click the link in our profile to read more on the journal.

Create A Focal Point
“I bought the Italian cartouche over the fountain from Barbara Israel. It is 19th century from the Olgiati Family, of Northern Italy, and it creates a beautiful focal point in the garden above the water.”

Layer in Elements of Serenity
“I love the way bonsai adds a sense of contemplation and age to a garden. I’m the caretaker of two ancient bonsais: a 40 year old Trident Maple and a hundred year old Korean Hornbeam. Bonsais truly create an Elysium of peace in the garden.”

Use Contrasting Colors
“I have a tremendous amount of brick in the garden – the house is brick, the walls are brick, the walkways are brick – so stone ornaments work really well. Greenery also adds another layer of color contrast against brick, so I have a lot of Boston Ivy and boxwood. Boston Ivy is the perfect vertical lawn and it is a very green and efficient renewable energy source for the house. The shade of the leaves keep the brick wall cool in the summer and warm in the winter when the leaves are off.”

Collect Pieces That Age Well
“I have capitals everywhere and they are really easy to use in the garden as side tables, on our Spotswood Pier Table, on the ground, stacked. The very first piece I bought was a Gothic capital in Italy 25 years ago from the 12th or 13th century and it is still in my garden today. What I love about them is all of the subtle nuances–the variations, the patina and all of the different colors it starts to take on. I stay away from anything cast concrete because it doesn’t age well and over time it’s not going to look great. Whereas something carved by hand is just going to continue to get better looking 200 years from now. We apply that same principle to our handcrafted furniture.”
