The first roller coaster I ever went on. I was maybe 6 years old? I canât quite recall, I just remember being tricked by my family into riding it, âitâs not a roller coaster!â Well, when I say I screamed when we came around the corner and I saw the ride vehicle - I was terrified.
Now, many rides and years later, not only is Space Mountain a must do for me, (might still have some jitters!) I can proudly say Iâve officially painted it for Disneylandâs 70th Anniversary Topps set! This park has meant so much to me in my life so when I got the invite for this set I couldnât have been more excited. I painted 50 cards, mostly in watercolor, a medium I donât often use but one I felt could bring out the storybook magic and happiness I feel everytime I step into the park. Here are my favorite 20.

Mushuâs always been a favorite of mine ever since I saw Mulan as a kid so I had to try my hand at capturing his comedic (over) confidence - something I think I took a little inspiration from growing upđ
I wanted to paint an alternative story where Mushu was caught as he knocked over the Great Stone Dragon statue and tries to play his way out of it!
This one was particularly difficult as I really tried to stay my hand at over rendering everything and trying to make every line perfect. But I learned a lot about being intentional with my lines and it was a ton of fun! Hope you like it.
