2025 moved quietly, like something rearranging itself beneath the surface. Not a year of endings announced, but of truths settling in.

A dream I once chased had to be placed gently back into the fire it came from — one forged in motion, danger, and certainty. Letting it go wasn’t loss alone; it was recognition. The flames didn’t leave. They asked to be carried differently.

There were long seasons of stillness, where the body drew its limits and the mind learned patience in their shadow. Loneliness wasn’t loud; it was spacious. It made room for resolve to take root.

The road ahead remains unmarked and steep. But it always has been. Hardship isn’t a detour — it is the terrain I know how to cross.

This year required a quiet consent: the death of a vision, the willingness to stand in ash without urgency. The phoenix does not rise by force — it yields, dissolves, and returns altered, carrying memory instead of flame.

And from that yielding, another calling emerged. Not chosen lightly, but shaped by necessity — the long apprenticeship of healing. Where fire once demanded endurance, life now asks mastery. To tend, to restore, to carry others through what I have learned to survive.

2025 did not promise clarity.
It taught me how to become.

Goodbye 2025. Enter 2026.
The body falters. The oath does not.
Systems compromised. Will intact.
Wounded, not yielded.
Still breathing. Still choosing to fight.
I will stand watch until the wind takes my name.

“Yet letting go isn’t the same as giving up; it’s the gentle surrender that makes room for something new to grow. So I loosen my grip on what can’t be reclaimed, even as I keep fighting for the parts of myself that are still becoming. And in that delicate space between losing and becoming, hope stirs… a reminder that even when life forces me onto a different path, there can still be unexpected light ahead, waiting to meet me… ready to rise again.”

Happy First Responder Day!

It’s been an absolute privilege to serve as a first responder: from the streets to the skies, standing beside some of the most dedicated professionals in the world. Every alarm, every flight, every patient reminds me why we do this: so that others may live.

Here’s to the sleepless nights, the adrenaline, the heart, and the honor of being there when it matters most. 💙

“You were never meant to be swallowed by the dark. You were meant to walk through it, to shine, and to lead others toward their light. Hard paths are carved for souls strong enough to inspire the way forward. Your path is harder because your calling is higher.”

3 mile hike this morning before class. Good to decompress and get outside. My pace is slower than it used to be but one step at time to get back into it. Good way to start the day before class.

Very thankful and proud to announce I have been selected by the American College of Emergency Physicians ACEP as a mentee of GEMS-LP. As a first year MD student, this means the world to me. I am currently at the ACEP Scientific Assembly in Salt Lake and what an amazing time discussing ideas and meeting EM providers from all over the world. Thank you for trusting me with this opportunity.

The Global Emergency Medicine Student Leadership Program (GEMSLP) is focused on supporting emergent medical students focused on advancing emergency medicine to an even higher degree and build connections globally through medical research and projects.

My focus, as I progress through this next step of my career, will be into fighting for medical equity in prehospital and EM care, fighting for advancement of paramedics into practitioners to fill the gap in prehospital care, connecting globally with other EM Doctors and students to further emergency medicine care as a specialty, disaster medicine, critical care, EMS training, ultrasound, surgical procedures and prehospital ECMO/ECPR.

A heartfelt thank you to everybody who has supported me throughout the years. Forever proud of the work in disaster medicine, teaching the Los Angeles community about medical and survival through LAFD CERT and looking forward to continue it. Thank you for supporting me through this trip and looking forward to partner for coming projects and expand our prehospital mission.

24 hours. 365 days. Always ready. We are emergency medicine.

And the 2021 NFL season comes to an end. And what an end!

I can’t convey in words how thankful I am for this opportunity. I had the pleasure to serve as field paramedic this NFL season here in Los Angeles. 7 months of new medical challenges, new learnings and new friends. I am going to miss my crew. I will miss coming in every game, saying hi and hugging you all. Thank you for being amazing people and thank you for making it unforgettable!

One of the biggest honors of my life to be nominated paramedic #1 for the Super Bowl. A big thank you to my management team for trusting me with this position, for the incredible support from the NFL doctors during all season and the doctors I had the pleasure to work with.

Los Angeles, we did it! Going down history serving the first Super Bowl in Los Angeles area in almost 30 years and seeing a LA team win. Epic!

Taking home the memories. And a signed ball. 💙💛

“Look. If you had… One shot. Or one opportunity. To seize everything you ever wanted. In one moment. Would you capture it. Or just let it slip?”
