Over the last few years I have probably denied how hard I had been struggling. I had convinced myself that it was just some stress or anxiety.
The truth is after a lot of personal reflection and therapy is that I have been suffering for awhile with depression
I have so many times over the last few years done stories and posts about talking to your friends and being open about how you feel, yet for whatever reason found it difficult to admit my troubles to myself and others.
Dealing with depression is a strange thing… outwardly others see you as being fun, having a laugh, joking around… but the truth is that it is a complete mask.
A mask that when you were then around the people you care about the most slips and you become very difficult to live with.
I continue to work on myself every single day, and to make better choices.
So what I would always reminds people including myself going forward is it’s okay to not be okay, talk to your friends talk to your loved ones because there’s always somebody that cares.
