Le concept était simple, partir de Vieux Boucau pour aller à Toulouse, 270 km.
J’avais pris rdv avec Philippe pour 17h, il me fallait donc rouler à environ 30km/h de moyenne.
Pour arriver à l’heure j’ai donc pris mon vélo de chrono équipé de roue en 80 à boyaux, des boyaux que je connais bien et qui sont remplis de liquide tubeless pour éviter les crevaisons, bon ils ont quelques km il me semble…
Km 200, je suis dans les temps en roulant sur des petites routes peinards et la… Crevaison de l’avant! Je m’arrête regonfle et vois du liquide sortir du boyau, je me dis donc que ça va finir par reboucher.
À ce moment là j’ai plusieurs option, attendre que ça rebouche, trouver un magasin et regarder si je trouve pas un vélo dans un jardin pour emprunter la roue avant, c’est une roue à patin, quasiment tout peut se monter dessus!
Après 6 arrêts pour regonfler j’ai fini par opter pour une nouvelle technique: le stop 👍
Première 10 min d’attente et un mec me prend dans un petit break, il m’avance de 5 km. C’est déjà ça!
Il me dépose, je regonfle pour trouver un bon spot, j’ai une autonomie de 2 km à chaque fois que je gonfle et je suis à 45 km de l’arrivée mais je commence à prendre du retard pour l’achat de la voiture!
Après 15 min d’attente une voiture s’arrête au milieu de la voie, ils parlent pas français mais me disent de monter, c’est une Dacia premier modèle, ils sont 3 Roumain dedans avec des valises. Je leur dis que je peux prendre le vélo sur mes jambes.
Donc on se retrouve à 4 des sacs partout et un vélo de chrono sur la banquette arrière, le conducteur s’occupe des pédales, son copilote tient le volant et le copain derrière tien la batterie externe pour alimenter le téléphone qui a le gps, personne à la ceinture et il y a des cadavres de bière 😂
Après une heure ils me déposent à Toulouse, je me change au Mac donalds, Philippe arrive avec la Mercedes neuve de 340 000 km.
Je l’essai, il me paye un orangina et je me retrouve propriétaire d’une belle Mercedes!
Sinon j’aurai pu y aller en train mais ça aurait été beaucoup moins marrant 🤩!
Encore un bon prétexte pour faire du vélo 🚴

2026 sera dingue, bon Inchallah comme on dit et pour commencer l’année je retrouverai mon Irlandais sur L’Atlas Mountain Race!
Ça sera encore un projet où on va se taper dans les mains à un point que certains le noteront en commentaire! Peut importe, ce genre de projet le mérite!
Le Tadjiskistan était vraiment ma plus belle vidéo de l’année avec au montage et pour toute la production!

Last week, during a shoot with GCN en Français on a descent in the Basque Country on the road, I had a close call and narrowly avoided serious injury.
Here’s the story:
During a descent on the road, I picked up speed in the sunshine, leaned into a turn, and lost traction on the rear tire while braking. Then I tried to control the slide, knowing I was heading straight on, and ended up getting ejected, literally diving under the crash barrier.
I walked away without a scratch. I still don’t understand how I managed to slip under the barrier without touching it—my bike wasn’t even scratched.

C’etait chaud!
La semaine derniere lors d’un tournage avec GCN en Français dans une descente du Pays Basque sur route j’ai frolé la correctionnelle et surtout de blessures graves.
L’histoire,
Descente sur route, je prend de la vitesse au soleil, j’engage mon virage et perd l’adhérence du pneu arrière au freinage. Ensuite j’essai de controler la glisse sachant que je vais tout droit et je me fais ejecter pour litéralement plonger sous la glissiere de sécurité.
Je m’en sors sans aucune blessure, je ne comprend meme pas comment j’ai réussi a passer sous la barrière sans la toucher, meme le vélo est n’a pas été rayé.
