A year of ideas turning into built form. From early concepts to finished spaces, 2025 has been about refining processes, testing materials, and designing architecture that responds carefully to its context.
This year also marked our first international projects, expanding our work to Mexico and Milan, as well as our first step into object design with the creation of a lighting piece. New horizons opened through the design of hotels and a sailing school, while national competition awards at a public scale challenged us to think more collectively and ambitiously.
Each project has pushed us to work with greater precision, curiosity, and intention. Grateful for the clients, collaborators, and opportunities that shaped this year. On to what’s next.

This residential project in Milan arises from the merging of two flats into a single, continuous home. Its curtain-wall envelope provides complete transparency and a direct relationship with the urban landscape.
The programme is concentrated in a central core that integrates the kitchen, WC, furniture and storage, organising the home into two bands: the daytime area, south-facing and linked to the broader, more private façade; and the night-time area, with two bedrooms and a bathroom connected to the terraces.
Designed in timber and stainless steel, this core combines warmth with precision, freeing up the façades so that light, views and ventilation can pass through the home without obstruction. The result is a bright, flexible and contemporary space.

Maximale is an architecture studio based in Madrid, founded in 2022 by Pablo Delgado and Cristina Garau. Our work spans projects of diverse scales and typologies, driven by the search for specific strategies that lead to technical and aesthetic solutions. Through an analytical and conceptual approach, we define an architecture that uses light and geometry to create proportion, harmony, and coherence.
Over the past few years, we have been focused on developing projects that pursue meaningful design, fostering an ongoing dialogue between disciplines such as art, design, and research. From small private commissions to large public competitions, from ever-changing retail spaces to tailored homes, we engage deeply in every stage of the design process and are always open to new projects that inspire and challenge us.
The massification of tourism in Spain from the 1960s onwards led to the proliferation of residential and hotel complexes aimed at meeting an overwhelming demand for new constructions along the coast, particularly in the southern and eastern regions of the country.
While the urban impact is, in most cases, irreversible, it is fair to say that some high-quality architectural works emerged from that era. Figures such as Coderch, Fernando Higueras, and Juan Guardiola Gaya established models that integrated new ways of inhabiting within structures capable of adapting to these environments through sustainable strategies and bioclimatic designs.
For this new project on the Costa del Sol, our goal is to take some of these significant works as reference points and focus on reusing existing architecture, adapting it to current needs and thereby reducing environmental and ecological impact and promoting a model of tourism that is more conscious and respectful of the territory.
