Two moments from the famous Ebenfluh Shooting Range in Axalp, where the Swiss Air Force demonstrates live firing high in the Alps. Few aviation events combine dramatic mountain scenery and fast jets quite like this.
Both images were shot with the Sony 400mm f/2.8 from Sony Benelux. An absolutely phenomenal lens to work with. The speed, sharpness and overall rendering are simply on another level.

Still completely mesmerized by that cockpit window. Seeing a C-27J Spartan inverted is something you don’t easily forget. You simply don’t expect a tactical airlifter to move like that.
Massive respect to the Italian crew for throwing this machine around the sky the way they did. I’m more than ready to see them again at one of the shows this year!

This one… this was the highlight of 2025.
flying right on the edge of the sound barrier. Seen from Totterdown, where you’re dealing with backlight all afternoon. Normally a challenge. This time, a gift.
The backlight made the shockwaves clearly visible. You could see the physics. The pressure. The speed. For a split second, everything aligned: angle, light, vapor, aircraft.
