Not only that, but we did it in style on board the Seabourn Pursuit. Here are some of my favorite things about sailing with Seabourn on one of their expedition ships:
1. Zodiacs - these incredible vessels took us through narrow canyons, to beach landings, and also regular docks. They allow guests to safely explore places that larger boats simply could not access.
2. Hot tubs - where better to watch a sunset and enjoy the surrounding landscape? There are 4 onboard, so it’s nice to be able to switch it up every now and again.
3. Experiences - Seabourn offers additional experiences such as the Mitchell Falls helicopter tour that we did (optional for all guests). It was one of our favorite parts of our trip and I highly recommend it if you do this Kimberley itinerary.
4. Space - you will never feel crowded onboard Seabourn expedition ships. Between the many deck spaces, lounges, bars and pool area, there’s so much room to enjoy a drink, or soak in your daily vitamin D.
5. Dining - one of my favorite things about sailing with Seabourn is the food and drinks. Not only is everything delicious, but there’s so many options between the different restaurants, bars / lounges, cafe, and 24 hour room service.

We were driving by some ice when these two adélie penguins came flying out of the water and landed on the snow. They stood there for a second to survey their surroundings, before deciding we weren’t a threat and continuing on their travels.
The second photo is my favorite leopard seal photo of the trip. This one was lounging close to the edge of the ice, and the ocean was splashing up against the sides which created really cool scene. The seal lifted its head for just a moment, and I was able to capture this photo before it went back to resting. Never a dull moment in the Antarctic 🇦🇶

This was one of my favorite moments from that morning. I was taking some close up photos of this chick when mom flew in with some fresh catch. Right before feeding, mom gave me this little side eye, then carried on with feeding to ensure her little one would grow up to be big and strong, just like her 💪🏻

On the way back to the ship I was photographing these three king penguins when two fur seals ran a bit close, giving them a scare. Definitely a “right place at the right time” moment!

I knew I’d enjoy seeing these beautiful penguins in their natural habitat, but I didn’t anticipate just how inquisitive and hilarious they would be. We watched them for many hours and never got bored. They sure know how to put on a show! 🐧🇦🇶

For those who don’t know, a rifugio is a mountain hut / cabin that you can find in the mountains of Italy. They often have lodging and serve food. In this instance, the lake’s rifugio had the cutest dog! 🇮🇹
