2025 was another great year for adventure! Some of my favorite shots that didn’t make my feed.:)

Merry Christmas! The 74 degree temps today reminds me of my recent trip to Joshua Tree. Coincidentally, the temperature is exactly the same on Christmas in Arkansas as my time in the park a couple weeks ago. May your day be as golden as a golden hour sunset in the desert!

Fall scenes from Cullasaja Falls. This is a 250 foot roadside waterfall. While the road has a decent view of it, I recommend taking the short steep hike to the gorge base. You will be pleasantly happy. This entire area is beautiful and loaded with scenic drives and other surrounding waterfalls. Perfect way to spend a day in my opinion.

Okay, Proxy Falls might be my new favorite waterfall ever. Pictures don’t even come close to showing the true size and power, but I had to try by climbing on the log for scale. Truly an unforgettable experience!

“When you focus on problems, you’ll only find more problems. But when you focus on possibilities, you open yourself up to opportunities.”

For me, that means seeking out chances to experience beauty in the world. My trip to Oregon was a perfect example of turning a possibility into reality. Seeing Toketee Falls was one of those surreal moments where something that lived only on social media suddenly became real life.

The top viewing platform was breathtaking, but I knew I didn’t come all that way just to stop there. So, I scrambled down (literally down) ropes, and I had it all to myself. Talk about a moment!

Koosah Falls for this #waterfallwednesday
This is hands down one of my favorite stops while chasing waterfalls in the PNW. Koosah drops an impressive 70 feet into the McKenzie River, and the name “Koosah” actually comes from a Chinook word meaning “sky.” Pretty fitting when you’re standing here listening to the thunder of the water echo through the canyon.

A little back story getting this photo. I ventured out on the mossy log to attempt a scale for the photo. One wrong slip and it was right in the rushing glacial-blue water. Two seconds later, I did “slip” but managed to gain my footing before falling in dramatically. Since I was doing interval shooting, I did get this not so graceful slip and decided to toss it up on the second slide of the post for fun. Insert your best joke!

Nevertheless, between the lush old-growth forest, the turquoise river, and the sheer power of this waterfall, Koosah comfortably holds a high rank in my memory bank. And me? Just a waterfall chaser enjoying life on a slippery log.

Spring came and went, but I’m still stuck in those waterfall days. Wonder if they miss me like I miss them. Reminiscing on good memories for this #waterfallwednesday

34 trips around the sun 🌞
Celebrating this year with deep gratitude, a full heart, and probably a few more creaky joints—by sharing one of my all-time favorite waterfalls in Arkansas tucked away in the Richland Creek Wilderness.

This area isn’t just beautiful, it’s home. I grew up exploring these wild, mossy corners of Arkansas, and every visit still feels like coming back to a piece of myself (and occasionally slipping on a rock, because nature keeps me humble). I never get tired of it!

This spring, Arkansas really showed off—and I wasn’t about to let those waterfall-chasing opportunities pass me by. It felt like the perfect birthday gift from nature herself to be able to drive right down the road and enjoy all of the Ozark gold!

Here’s to another year 📸

Spring scenes from Bingham Hollow. This was my first visit to this beauty and it was right after a good heavy rain!

The last few spring seasons in Arkansas have been a tad lackluster. From drier conditions, creek changes, and other various factors, I was beginning to lose hope for a bountiful wet spring. Well, I now proudly stand corrected with this spring showing up and showing out! I’ve been out every weekend and it has been so good that I even get to chase some on week nights! Here are some moments last weekend chasing waterfalls! This beauty is a short hike in the Buffalo region for a big reward with multiple angles and compositions.
