I’ve just joined the Michelangelo Foundation and the Homo Faber Guide - basically, a global home for people who break rules beautifully, making things with their hands.
My work has always lived between chaos and craft, weaving leather, colour, and structure until something unexpected happens.
So being recognised by these platforms feels huge. It’s proof that experimentation, values and care can belong in the same sentence.
Find me on the Homo Faber Guide (link in bio) and tell me:
What does craftsmanship mean to you? looking forward to read your thoughts and start this conversation 💭 👇🏼

Truth is, I got locked out of Instagram. At first it was frustrating, but then I realised - it actually felt really good. A proper break. No posts, no stories, no pressure. Just space.
It made me think: do I really need to be on here all the time or at all??? Thoughts on This???
During this unexpected pause, I decided I want to share more directly with you, in a calmer, slower way.
💌 So from September, I’ll be sharing in a different rhythm: through a newsletter (monthly… or maybe every two months — still deciding on the pace). Think: behind-the-scenes glimpses, experiments straight off the loom, and sneak peeks of new work before anyone else sees it. A calmer, slower, more personal way to stay connected.
If you’d like to join, the link’s in my bio STAY CONNECTED 💌

These colours and textures? All from discarded leather sample books that were headed for the bin. The kind of stuff you flip through in showrooms and then forget about. I’ve been cutting them up, weaving them by hand, and letting them become something entirely new.
It’s made me think a lot about value—how fast we discard, and how beautiful these “leftovers” can actually be when given time, care, and attention.
Now I’m starting to play with another unlikely material: lanyards. I’m reworking them, weaving them into my new textiles and sculptural forms. It’s a weird and exciting process and I’m not entirely sure where it’s going—but that’s kind of the point.
If you know any studios or brands that toss out leather samples, lanyards, or anything with texture and soul—send them my way. I’d love to see what we can turn it into.
Also curious: 💬 What’s the strangest material you’ve ever tried to work with (or secretly wanted to)?

Imagine being able to scan the jacket you’re wearing and know exactly who made it, what it’s made from, and where it came from. Not just marketing fluff—but real, transparent, traceable info at your fingertips.
This is what I build into every piece I create: A Digital Product Passport because fashion should have nothing to hide.
✨ You get the whole story: Where the leather came from. Which hands wove it. How it was made. Why those decisions matter.
No guessing. No greenwashing. Just facts, beauty, and accountability stitched into every seam.
For me, this isn’t just about sustainability—it’s about truth, craft, and connection. You deserve to know what you’re wearing and why it matters.
📲 Ever scanned your clothes before? You can now.
Let me know—what’s the one thing you wish fashion brands were more honest about? 👇🏽

Well… hi. 👋 I’m Martina — and I made these. Every cut, every weave, every detail.
I don’t send designs off to factories. I stay in the studio. I engineer the pattern, cut the leather, and build the piece by hand, from start to finish. It’s slow. It’s physical. And sometimes it feels more like architecture than fashion. But it’s where the magic is.
I want you to feel that when you wear it — the weight of intention, the texture of time, the honesty of process.
And because I believe fashion should be accountable (not just beautiful), each piece has digital chip inside. You scan it, and it opens up the jacket’s entire journey: where the materials came from, what choices went into it, and what kind of world you’re supporting by wearing it.
That transparency? It’s not a feature — it’s a principle.
Because trust shouldn’t be a trend.
So yeah, here’s the better question:
If your clothes could talk, would they have anything honest to say? Mine would. And they’d probably overshare. 😅

Every piece you see here is handwoven, made with purpose, and built to break the rules. It is what fashion should be.

This is why I make.
Some messages land with so much clarity, they stop me mid-weave. They remind me why I choose to work with my hands, why I engineer with colour, and why I keep pushing materials that carry stories, not just labels.
A client recently wrote me this, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it:
“The beauty and craftsmanship of Martina’s work is astonishing. I truly am in love with the fabrics and the colour choices… It will be an item I will cherish for years and years to come.”
That. That’s it. That’s the reason I do what I do.💜
Because something made with intention — thoughtfully sourced, shaped, and stitched — doesn’t just sit on your body or in your home. It lives with you. It gathers meaning. It becomes memory.
To everyone who has ever messaged, shared, worn, or woven your story into mine — thank you. 🙏🏼
💌 Has one of my pieces ever made you feel something? Tell me — I’d love to hear it. 👇 Drop a comment or DM. 📲 Tag someone who gets it. Save this post to remind yourself to choose pieces that speak back.

It’s a question that stayed with me — during long hours in the studio while cutting geometric shapes by hand and threading recycled zip tapes through scraps I refused to throw away. It echoed every time I chose patience over speed and process over trend.
We’re in a moment where the lines between fast fashion and traditional luxury are blurring — both chasing cycles, scale, and surface-level storytelling. But for me, luxury has always meant something slower, deeper, and more human.
This piece is my answer: A jacket that didn’t begin with a moodboard or market trend, but with a quiet, persistent idea. Crafted slowly, woven intentionally, made with materials that carry their own histories. And embedded with a chip that tells the full story — not just of the garment, but of the people, places, and choices behind it.
My pieces are a refusal to rush. A celebration of hands and heritage. An invitation to rethink what we value in what we wear.
💬 I’d love to know — what kind of energy do you want your clothes to carry?

When I’m choosing colours, I’m not chasing trends—I’m chasing tension. Contrast. Joy. Disruption. 🔥 Each strip of leather you see here isn’t just a colour—it’s a decision.
A protest against beige. A celebration of complexity. A question for the viewer.
In my work, colour is engineered just as much as the cuts are. Every palette is layered with geometry., they are planned but intuitive.
Some combinations shouldn’t work—but that’s exactly why they do.
So tell me… Which colour grabs you first? And what does it say? 👇 I’m listening.

Waste isn’t waste until we ignore its potential. Everything here started as an offcut, a leftover, a nearly-forgotten scrap. Now it’s part of something tactile and lasting.
I build with responsible sourced materials and now increasingly with waste because it challenges me to see value differently—and invites you to wear design with more meaning.
I’m curious: What material do you think deserves a second life? 🌸
