I remember writing Relapse at home on an acoustic guitar, wondering if it might feel out of place on this upcoming album but there was something special about it. I felt we didnāt need to go heavy with this one; the spaces and fragility are what make it breathe.
I called up my ridiculously talented friend who added his magic touch, and once we hit the studio with the band and everything just clicked. It became one of Brianās favourites, and Iām so glad we captured the raw, emotional simplicity that makes Relapse what it is.
