This Reel went viral a while ago, and it gave my Instagram such an incredible boost that it truly became the beginning of something very special.
For the first time, I felt confident enough to keep going and really pursue my dream. This is what I wanted to do, and seeing so many people connect with my art gave me the motivation to continue creating.

First, prepare the canvas. Unwrap it and place it on large push pins to prevent it from sticking to the table.
Let’s get started!
Colors used:
🎨 Titanium White – Amsterdam
🎨 Prussian Blue – Winsor & Newton
🎨 Ultramarine Light – Amsterdam (NEW color!)
🎨 Greyish Blue – Amsterdam
🎨 Silver – Amsterdam
For my paint mixture, I used 1 part paint, 2 parts Floetrol, and 1.5 parts water.
I slightly adjusted my usual ratio because these newer bottles of Floetrol seemed a bit thinner.
Make sure all colors have the same consistency, the paint trail should remain visible for 1–2 seconds before disappearing.
Let’s pour the paint onto the canvas in puddles!
I’m also using gold spray paint, which I spray into a cup first (outside, of course!).
For my white Cell Activator, I used:
▫️ 1 part Titanium White
▫️ 3 parts Australian Floetrol
Just to be clear: I use two different types of Floetrol. The interaction between them is what creates those beautiful cells and effects!
I gently spread a thin layer over the paint.
And now it’s time to stretch the paint across the whole canvas!
WOW! Just look at those incredible details! 😍✨ I absolutely love how this heart turned out, especially with the depth that the new Ultramarine Light adds to the color palette.

What is a cellactivator? Where I use it for?
I get a lot of questions about this effect I use is almost all my video’s, so here’s the explanation.
I use two different types of Floetrol.
For my colors:
1 part paint,
2 parts regular Owatrol Floetrol,
2 parts water.
For my cell activator:
1 part paint, 3 parts Australian Floetrol.
Because the cell activator has a different density and surface tension, it pushes through the layers and brings the colors up.

In this reel, I’m showing how I remove paint from a canvas.
I soaked the canvas in water for 24 hours, which caused the paint to lift off. After that, I gently scraped away the loosened paint with a palette knife and left the canvas to dry under some heavy stones to help prevent warping.
What I learned:
I think the paint was already loose enough after about 5 hours. Leaving it submerged for a full 24 hours made the wooden stretcher frame absorb too much water, which caused some water stains and marks. So next time, as soon as the paint starts lifting, I’d carefully begin removing it with a palette knife rather than waiting longer.
⚠️ Side note: This canvas won’t be used as a “good” canvas anymore, it was purely a test. It definitely won’t be sold, so no worries! 😊 Maybe I’ll turn it into something fun for our hallway instead.

This week I’m doing something I’ve never done before: creating a triptych acrylic pour painting. After all these years of painting, I suddenly realized that I had never made a triptych before. There’s a first time for everything, even for me!
During my vacation, I found these adorable mini canvases (24 x 18 cm) in a charming little shop and immediately fell in love with their size. They seemed perfect for a colorful fluid art project, so I decided to turn them into a three-panel artwork.
For this pour, I used leftover paints from one of my workshops. It’s always fun to see what can be created from leftover colors!
I also wanted to highlight a beautiful new color from Amsterdam Acrylics: Permanent Lemon Yellow Light. Amsterdam recently released six new pastel colors, and while I’m excited to try all of them in future projects, this yellow truly stole the show. It combines beautifully with red, pink, blue, and purple, creating vibrant and cheerful color combinations.
