Seit Anbeginn der LED Lampen wird gefühlt jede als „die Kraft der Sonne“ beworben. Die Realität ist komplizierter, besonders wenn Themen wie Abstand und Softness dazu kommen. Bei unseren Proof of Concept Dreharbeiten für „Die Kleingarten Cosa Nostra“ haben wir die Evoke 2400B mit dem FL-35E Fresnel Aufsatz und oh Boy, so kann man Arbeiten.
Durch Größe und Output kann man die Lampe super als Keylight bei Sonnenlicht nehmen - so wie in unserem Fall. No joke, ich liebe die Lichtqualität aus der Fresnel 🫶
Für die Abendbilder haben wir die Evoke 2400B als Mondlicht gebounced und es ist ein super Gefühl, hier nie am Output Maximum kratzen zu müssen.

Visuell ist der Film für mich definitiv ein wichtiges und starkes Werk, auf das ich auch stolz bin. Da kann und will ich mir nicht einfach selbst auf die Schulter klopfen, das war ein genialer Team effort.
Angefangen bei der Entwicklung der visuellen Konzepte und Einbindung von Licht und Farben in die Geschichte zusammen mit - das war großartig!
, ohne den das extrem hohe Niveau der Drehtage nie möglich gewesen wäre. Der von Anfang bis Ende das Projekt mitgetragen hat. Meine starke rechte Hand in dieser Produktion.
Dann natürlich die technische Seite, die Zusammenarbeit mit Oberleuchter, den ich permanent mit meinen Ideen bewerfen durfte und der sie nicht einfach nur angenommen hat, sondern sie ausgebaut, weiterentwickelt und perfektioniert hat. 10/10 fürs ganze Lichtteam.
Auch mein Liebster, der zum einen einfach unfehlbar unter den unbarmherzigsten Bedingungen überhaupt immer abliefert. Alter. Wirklich insane.
Mein On-Set Händchenhalter 🫶
, zu dem ich größtenteils für die therapeutischen Sessions gehe, der aber GANZ NEBENBEI auch noch das Footage nimmt und es auf ein anderes Level hebt. Color Grading at its finest. Bin ultra dankbar für das gemeinsame wachsen - da kommt noch einiges 🔥

Ein paar Stills aus unserem Kurzspielfilm „Walküren“, bei dem ich die Bildgestaltung geführt habe.
Nach wie vor ein wichtiges Projekt und Thema. Link zum Film findet ihr in meinem Profil.
Für mich steht tiny lovestory vor allem für extreme Crewlove und ein neues Mindestmaß an Produktionsbedingungen. Die Drehtage in den Niederlanden im vergangenen Oktober waren in vielerlei Hinsicht toll - angefangen von einem sehr starken Film, den wir dort hergestellt haben, war auch die Zeit dort einfach genial.
Irgendwie haben wir es geschafft in gerademal 4 Drehtagen einen 35 minütigen, guten Film zu drehen, ohne dabei übertrieben lange Tage zu machen. Mit immer heftig gutem Essen (vegan love an ) und einem aufopfernden Team, das mit Herz, Humor und Motivation voll am Start war. Das klingt alles sehr nach Klischeetext, ich meine das aber ernst: bei allen anstehenden Projekten habe ich immer „das muss mindestens so gute Umstände haben wie tiny“ im Kopf.
Natürlich war nicht alles perfekt - aber das wäre auch eine nonsense Behauptung. Wie immer gilt: viel gelernt, viel mitgenommen. Auch da werde ich in Zukunft sicherlich noch viel drüber reden und mit etwas Abstand voraussichtlich auch nochmal klarer drauf zurück blicken.
In Sachen Bildgestaltung bin ich mit tiny extrem glücklich. Mein Anspruch war es, der RomCom Geschichte nicht die Show zu stehlen, aber dennoch emotional starke Bilder mit einzubauen. Dabei einen naturalistischen Look zu treffen, der gerne auch unperfekt sein darf - wie die Beziehung unserer Protas.
Der Film ist jetzt intern einmal gezeigt worden - wie es für tiny weitergeht steht aktuell noch in den Sternen. Ich richte meinen Blick derweil auf die nächsten anstehenden Projekte, von denen ich ja eines auch schon angekündigt habe:
