aka the land of not three but countless waterfalls. since finishing the finale of stranger things, Iceland is constantly on my mind — especially the time when I was exploring this country the first few times in 2015 & 2017. around the same time this series started to air & well…now we’ll probably forever think about wether the one or the other theory of the open ending is real…tbh for me both have their flaws haha. how about you?

- lost job opportunities (still not over it)
- re-visited ireland, scotland & norway 🥾
- celebrated my birthday at a mountain hut ⛰️
- spent more time in trains than ever 🚂
- tried paragliding despite my fear of heights 👀
- climbed 350 m down into a cave 🦇
- apart from what you see on here I didn’t do much outdoorsy stuff 🖥️
- spent the prettiest autumn in switzerland 🍂
- ended the year with a massive inspirational down & self doubts ✨

for the last two spring seasons I did a little workation in portugal & it truly feels so special to see sunsets or sunrises right next to the shore — while at home the city is captured by fog from autumn till spring time. 10/10 can recommend!

while the island is incredibly busy during summer due to the breeding of thousands of birds, during winter time its sand dune is home to hundreds of newborn seals. still I don’t know when I was more excited, watching the babies exploring their abilities or finding a fluffy flock of sheep at the end of a rainbow 🌈 what would you prefer? 👀
one thing I’ve learned from this: „shoot that shot!“ — and share it, obviously haha. you never know what comes next 🫶🏻
